Review for Actors Summit, Hudson, OH, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Actors' Summit is a nonprofit Professional theater, incorporated in 1998 in Ohio. Our mission is to educate and entertain our diverse community, by creating live theater using exclusively Ohio actors and artists. We produce 8 shows annually in our small 150 seat thrust stage theater. Last year we added our FIRST annual Summer theater Festival, with 4 production in 2 locations in rotating repertory style. We use a combination of Equity and non-Equity actors. Our theater has been recognized as the "Best professional Theater in Cleveland" by

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Tremendous productions, excellent talent, fantastic staff; terrific reviews.Several of their actors have gone on to Broadway careers. They create mircles out of extremely limited budgets, huge amounts of ingenuity, patience, passion and dedication.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

In full disclosure, I am the Co-Artistic Director of this theater. I am seeking added funding to find and rennovate or build our own facility; and to create an endownment to ensure a more stable future for the artists at our theater.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The staff is friendly and accessible.Passionate about their work, they love to share their success with their audience. Their Board of Trustees are actively involved, raising awareness and support.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Friendly, knowledgeable, dedicated, enthusiastic, opassionate and supportive of Actors' Summit Theater and it's mission and vision.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Build an endowment fund, secure a building and rennovate it, offer more classes, reach a broader audience, offer more student matinees with student outreach for the performing arts, along with teacher guides, and classroom visits by our actors. .

Ways to make it better...

Actors' Summit acquired the funding necessary to reach it's goals --including their own theater building and an endowment to support the theater and it's current staff.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Raising funds to continue to produce theater, including constructing or rennovating a building for a permanent location. Lack of an endowment to hire critical support staff and create classes to younger artists.

One thing I'd also say is that...

please visit our website for more information. Watch for our upcoming 2nd Annual Summer Theater Festival in June thru August 2010
