Marian is a gem of a middle school. It's small-by-design, which allows its caring, competent staff to teach to each young woman as an individual. Students have so many opportunities: a camping trip, Academic Saturdays, retreats, weekly worship service, field trips, a free after-school enrichment program, and so much more.

My name is Christy Toben and I serve as principal of Marian Middle School (www.mms-stl.org). Our mission is to serve young women (grades 5-8) whose families couldn't other access faith-based, high quality education. We've worked with the Peace Museum for the past two year. Their innovative, thoughtful activities are wonderful to teach our students an awareness of social issues and also to help them build positive relationships with each other.
