Review for Court Appointed Special Advocates of Santa Cruz County, Watsonville, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I've been a volunteer, supporter and have benefited from this group personally, and I can tell you it's the best run, best trained and most supportive group I've ever worked with. And I've worked with a lot of non profits.

I had a really tough case and was a new CASA. The staff was always there for me, even on a weekend when a challenging situation came up for my child. I was able to make a significant impact on my child's life, and it was in large part to the training and support I got.

And when my husband and I eventually adopted an older youth who had been a CASA child, the staff still supported me with advice and books and invitations to their events. It's like a family. Once you're in, they're there for you.

I'm just super impressed at the whole group and proud to be a part of it. And I get to make an impact on kids in our county who need it most. We're lucky we have this nonprofit on our area.

CASA Santa Cruz is an amazing program. As a volunteer, we get some of the best training I've ever received. The staff are not only supportive, they provide fun things volunteers can do to help CASA and hang out. But of course, the biggest thing is how dedicated everyone involved in this program is to helping the foster youth of our county. Everyone works tirelessly to help these kids out - education, clothing, special needs that come up, help with placement, everything. I've never been so impressed with a non-profit, and I've been involved with many (and even ran one for a few years!)
