Review for Saffyre Sanctuary, Inc., Sylmar, CA, USA
I LOVE the horses at Saffyre Sanctuary and the work that we do there. I am there 5 days a week and have been volunteering for 2 ½ years. I have learned so much from my work there from the horses and the people I work with. I have seen people change and horses change is such positive ways. Horses really are natural healers. I hope everyone will consider coming to work with us and enjoy the outdoors and the connection that you can't help but feel when joining this magical small herd of teachers.
Review for Saffyre Sanctuary, Inc., Sylmar, CA, USA
I was searching for a place that needed my help when I found Saffyre Sanctuary on line. I had been taking lessons on horse care but I was still a novice. Esta put me to work right away and she and the horses have taught me something new everyday. There is nothing better than learning by doing. I really feel valued by the organization and I feel like I'm making a difference. I love my time there so much I go four days a week.

Review for Youth Musical Theater Company, Berkeley, CA, USA
I saw this group's work for the first time this month when I attended their production of West Side Story. This age group is the future, which is of course an overused phrase, but I was truly thrilled for the future of Music Theatre. I had two friends involved with the show so while I was visiting from LA, my family and I wanted to be supportive. I'm a Music Theatre actress/singer with Broadway credits, my husband is a composer and my daughter attends a performing arts high school in LA. We were all so impressed and so pleased that we happened to be in town during the run of the show. We had a delightful evening and were so taken with the attention to details and the acting commitment of the company. We cared about the characters and felt a true cohesiveness in the company as actors and as characters. What a lucky group of young adults to be a part of this company with what is undoubtably a group of dedicated professionals calling the shots. If I lived in the area I would love to be a part of what is going on in this company. Seeing talented kids like this is invigorating and reminds me of why I got into this business in the first place. It's exciting to see them at this stage with so much ahead of them. Bravo to all involved!
