Review for Kitten Rescue, Los Angeles, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I have known Kitten Rescue for a number of years now. I've received expert advice about ferals in my community. I utilized their
connections and have adopted out a handful of my own rescue cats through their
community foster program. I believe they are a top notch organization.

Review for Noahs Wish Inc, Sacramento, CA, USA

Rating: 1 stars

Noah's Wish seems to be completely inactive so far - no scheduled trainings for 2013 and no disaster response thus far. I would donate else where.

Review for Pet Safe Coalition, Nassau County, NY, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Based on Long Island, NY Pet Safe Coalition has been around since mid 1990s but recently decided to go National. You see - Pet Safe Coalition is a Disaster Response for Animals Group - helping pets in need in the aftermath of a disaster. I joined Pet Safe in February 2012 when they decided to start a West Coast Chapter. I have had the extreme pleasure of working along side really compassionate people in this organization. We had out 1st volunteer training on the West Coast this past October and as we were wrapping up training Super Storm Sandy was hitting the East Coast where Pet Safe Coalition HQ is. Our wonderful Director, President of the Board, several board members and a lot of the volunteers on the East Coast were effected by Sandy but non the less managed to get an Emergency Shelter up and running the very next morning after Sandy hit...because they had a plan ahead of time! The Director of Response even brought her comfy RV down from Connecticut so some of the responding volunteers had a quiet place to rest...but when a couple found them selves without a place to stay as they awaited the clean up process of their home the volunteers gladly re-located their beds and belongings to the shelter area and moved the couple into the RV! The Shelter has been in full operation since October 29th and even moved to a larger location to take in more pets. To date Pet Safe Coalition has cared for over 500 pets and is still housing around 100 while pet owners pick up the pieces of their lives after this devastating storm. I was unable to respond to this particular disaster but sent many volunteers from California - all reporting what a wonderful experience it was to help care for hundreds of pets and work with a congenial and professional group who cared fro the pet owners as much as they cared for their pets - listening to their stories and sending each owner home with lots of pet food, comfort items, new leashes and collars and a hug. I am so impressed with this organization...I am a 11 year Disaster Response Veteran and this is the BEST group I have ever had the pleasure volunteering with!

Review for Noahs Wish Inc, Sacramento, CA, USA

Rating: 1 stars

Noah's Wish had many trouble in 2005 due to Board inadequacies mostly - they allowed their Director to pilfer funds and claimed they had no idea it was going on...but if they did their job they would have known. The Director was mildly punished but the BoD should have been as well. 2 of the original Board members of that time still remain on the board today and that is just ludicrous! They have lost and/or fired good key people in the last 12 months that have kept the organization going - certainly with no help from the Board. The B0D is narrowing their focus tremendously as they continue to dupe more unsuspecting volunteers who continue to take the volunteer training...really very wrong. Noah's Wish does not respond to any disasters that take longer than a "day trip" drive to get to - or takes more than a single phone call to get invited in. The ydo not spend designated funds whre hey need to be used to up hold their mission. Currently the organization support 2 Board members who have harassed the volunteers or show up to meeting/disasters under the influence.

Review for SPCA International, New York, NY, USA

Rating: 1 stars

Lots of monies coming in but not many animals "saved" - stolen yes- but saved? Not really sure. I do know a rabid animal was brought to the States and others on plane had to be killed because of this neglect. Terri Crisp who heads up Baghdad Pups wit hthis group is a crook...she and her daughter! Just pull up last piece on her - Anderson Cooper 360! She is a piece of work! So is Pierre Barnotti - on the Board of Directors...what a past! and looks like he may be washing fundraising money with Quadriga Art!
