Review for New City Kids Inc, Jersey City, NJ, USA

Rating: 5 stars

This is an organization that provides afterschool programs for underserved, minority, and poor populations in Jersey City, NJ. I volunteered as a homework helper/tutor for both the elementary and high school students. The students are very open and friendly, and really appreciate the assistance that is given. The experience is extremely rewarding!

Review for Jersey Cares, Newark, NJ, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I became a Project Coordinator in September 2016 and just finished a two-day Thanksgiving Event in Newark with Partners in ACT/PACTION. Jersey Cares supplied 50 volunteers and so many others were waitlisted! We prepared and delivered 3500 meals to local community center, homeless shelters, and hospitals. The experience was worthwhile and satisfying and many friendships were made. Jersey Cares has numerous opportunities to volunteer in many different areas of need, so there is something of interest for everyone.

Review for Windmill Alliance Inc, Bayonne, NJ, USA

Rating: 4 stars

This is a small, local charity dedicated to assisting disabled individuals through daily activities, a residence, and a thrift shop. I have been a donor here for the past several years. There is a small staff that are friendly and helpful and a somewhat disorganized office that nevertheless will return phone calls. They accomplish their goal tolerably well

This is a Jewish Conservative synagogue. They have a small membership composed of mostly elderly who are well served by the Rabbi. They host numerous free or minimal cost programs for educational and entertainment purposes.
