Review for Diversity Business Resource Center, Pittsburgh, PA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

The Diversity Business Resource Center has provided invaluable direction and feedback for my company. The DBRC brought in professionals and business instructors to: help us design a business plan, teach us how to market our businesses, provide affordable legal services, create and identify business opportunities, organize networking events to meet and learn from other businesses, serve as mentors and sounding boards. The DBRC also challenged us/prepared us to take our businesses to the next level. The DBRC is an invaluable resource that I whole heartedly recommend to any new business, expanding business or reorganizing business.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

gaining buisness. I got my first govt. contract by applying the DBRC principles to my business.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

lose my mind! It's not for the faint of heart but Christina Jumba makes it look effortless.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the infinite amount of resources made available to me--software, services, links, mentors, etc.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

business professionals and instructors, employees of govt. related Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, corporations and public agencies.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

standardize and franchise the program.

Ways to make it better...

I had more time to take advantage of the programs the DBRC presents.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

i honestly don't know. I've had only the best experiences.

One thing I'd also say is that...

working with the DBRC to create a business plan and FOLLOWING through--especially in these difficult economic times has set my business on track to grow both in finances and services.

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2009
