Review for Second Chance Greyhounds Inc, Douglasville, GA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Our family went on a group visit to Birmingham Greyhound Race Track to tour the racing and adoption kennels. My husband and I fell in love with one of the greys up for adoption through second chance. We contacted the group to express our interest. They were so accomodating, especially because they are located in Douglasville, GA and we lived in Canal Fulton, OH. They conducted a phone interview, talked with our vet and references, and did a picture visit of our home. We were approved and they coordinated the pick up of our beautiful girl. They were outstanding! Their prision training program for these dogs to help with the acclimation process of home life is phenomenal. Once the adoption is complete they provide you with a group message board and a "greyt buddy", you are never alone or forgotten. This group is so amazing that when we decided to adopt a second greyhound we called second chance. There are groups in Ohio but when you deal with perfection nothing else compares. They helped us find the perfect companion for our family and we drove down to Georgia to bring our handsome boy home. While we were in Georgia we were able to attend some of the group's functions and felt like we truly belonged. These people are the best, we were really welcomed and accepted with open arms. We continue to support this group from afar by volunteering and contributing as we are able. The admiration we feel for the people associated with this group is immeasurable. They gave us the opportunity to love and care for two of the most amazing dogs we have ever met.
