Review for Aim High, San Francisco, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Aim High is a phenomenal program that has both helped me grow as an educator as well as helped thousands of students improve academically, giving them the fair shot at college that they may not have had otherwise. Seeing students develop and gain a level of respect for their academic endeavors is truly undiscribable.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

teaching there and developing bonds with students and staff centered around a positive learning environment.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

increase the scope of the organization, extending the amount of time in a session as well as the number of sites.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Growing close to a group of dedicated educators and being able to help these underprivileged students reach personal goals that they never knew that they had.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Dedicated and impassioned individuals committed to holistic learning who are happy to improve the state's educational situation one student at a time.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Open at least 50 new sites with ample funding for materials, site needs and staff and serve over 5,000 more students.

Ways to make it better...

This program was feasible for more than 5 weeks, the way it is now.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Funding. There is no lack of students, nor is there a lack of quality teachers, it is only a matter of paying for it all.

One thing I'd also say is that...

Aim High is the single most rewarding thing I have been a part of in my lifetime.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About once a year
