Review for Asian American LEAD, Washington, DC, USA

Rating: 0 stars

AALEAD is an amazing organization! I was contacted by them to come and teach basic dental lessons to the children of the program. I can honestly say it was one of the best experiences I have ever had. The children and teachers were so appreciative and really seemed to understand the importance of dental care. The children were so sweet and I can't wait to see them again soon!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

One big way. Each one of the students wrote me a thank you card and told me how much they enjoyed learning about dentistry. Some of them are brushing regularly after every meal which is amazing.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Give more dental supplies for the kids to have ample access to.I can also see they in desperate need of educational books, etc.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Working with kids. They are the most challenging, yet most grateful audience.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Amazing! They cared so much about the health of these kids that they contacted several people in order to get a hold of me. They organized getting several sample toothbrushes for all of the kids. They also printed out information pamphlets in Chinese for parents to understand.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Help out 10 million more kids.

Ways to make it better...

Nothing. It was truly a wonderful experience.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Probably getting financing for several things. Books, etc.

One thing I'd also say is that...
