Review for Luke's Wings, Inc., Washington, DC, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Though I am not a member of the military nor a family member of a wounded warrior, I do spend considerable time with both. I have witnessed on countless occasions the evidence of the joy and gratitude of those wounded and their friends and families as they share time together that otherwise would not be possible. Luke's Wings makes that possible. Where some organizations only transport immediate family, Luke's Wings brings friends together as well. Friends are a crucial part of the healing process. God bless this organization for their work in connecting these families and friends. The personal service and dedication of each of their employees is clearly a passion with each of them. Whenever anyone asks who they should donate their hard earned dollars to I always recommend Luke's Wings!

Review for Hidden Wounds Inc, Columbia, SC, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I have the utmost respect for former members of the military who see a need and take action. This is the type of organization that can best work with those who need assistance......veterans who are suffering from any of the aftermath of war issues. For those veterans who have 'been there and done that' their background is crucial. The fact that they took it upon themselves to commit to the well being of our veterans who are hurting is outstanding. Hopefully there will be more organizations that will pattern their work after Hidden Wounds.

Experience is the most beneficial means to treat 'hidden wounds' along with the professional staff where their combined efforts make a difference in the lives of our 'wounded'.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

I personally met Steven Diaz when he was first wounded and treated at WRNNMC. I have not experienced their work first hand as I am not a veteran. I do know that one person, when committed and determined, can make a difference in his own life and the lives of countless others.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Do nothing but watch them grow and expand and inspire others to do the same.

Role:  General Member of the Public & I have spent the last eight years supporting our troops with care packages, volunteering with the local MCL serving our wounded at Bethesda.
