My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Fair Chance, Washington, DC, USA
From January to August in 2009, I led a pro bono project team from the Taproot Foundation to research, write, design, and produce new fundraising materials for Fair Chance. As I learned more about the organization, I became increasingly impressed with its unique business model offering free, high quality, one-on-one capacity building services to other local nonprofits. I also enjoyed a close working relationship with the Fair Chance staff, who amaze me with their dedication, responsiveness, knowledge, and passion for the cause. I highly recommend Fair Chance to potential corporate and individual donors (I have become one myself), as well as to future partners, employee candidates, and volunteers.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
the tremendous satisfaction that comes from supporting a young, yet highly efficient and effective, organization whose mission I believe in.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
professional, enthusiastic, energetic, and passionate about the good work they do.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
make an even greater impact on building the sustainability of the nonprofit sector serving disadvantaged children and youth in Washington D.C. With this amount of money, it could also expand its services to areas outside of the nation's capital.
