Review for Rise Against Hunger, Raleigh, NC, USA
I volunteered with Service NC State in Raleigh NC and we packaged meals for Stop Hunger Now. It was such a fun experience! The CEO spoke at our event and his passion and love for this organizations mission drove everyone to work hard and exceed our packaging goal! The packaging in itself was a lot of fun. It was a race to see how quick we could pack the meals, and they rang a gong every 1,000 meals to let us know our progress! They played fun upbeat music to keep our momentum going. It was a great activity for all our students and I think people of all ages could do this. The program really makes you feel like you are making a difference because you are physically packaging the meals that will be eaten around the globe. Awesome charity! I recommend it completely!

reading their testimonies on Facebook and their website. They bring pictures back from their trips to visit where the meals go. Really inspirational!

Let us pack meals for a longer amount of time! I had so much fun!

It introduced me to new people at NC State, and it taught me about global hunger and how it really can be prevented if we work together.
