Review for International Tibet Network, Vienna, VA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Excellent to have this organization ITN share information and enable member groups to be more effective. The staff are clear and focused and dynamic. Our goals are refined and achievable - human rights in Tibet. One aspect of their work key for me is the commitment to nonviolence and outreach to the Chinese people. Inter-ethnic and interfaith outreach is high on my priority list. I remember working on these issues without the foundation/support of an international org and it was tough. ITN is basic and enabling.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Curiosity about Tibet is strong in high schools, colleges and universities in the Boston area and ITN has all the history and current affairs facts and stories to satisfy and educate. Lawyers, judges and health care providers need current data, current events to document refugees requests and ITN has this. I personally proceed with increased confidence knowing that ITN can share and distribute news of Tibet either within the country or among exiles. They've got my back. We've got synergy.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

If ITN could increase their staff/budget they'd be able to provide even more support to small groups. As an activist working both as a volunteer and as a professional, I have been particularly devoted to and interested in the Tibetan cause for the past 14 years. ITN is the best thing that's come on the scene.

Role:  Professional with expertise in this field & Here are 2 examples of how ITN helps: My efforts to share information in about social justice for Tibet in high schools, colleges and universities in the Boston area is supported by their website and activities. When I assist Tibetan refugees in asylum.
