Review for Meals on Wheels of Alameda County, Oakland, CA, USA
Alameda County Meals on Wheels truly makes a difference in people’s lives. We nurture the body and souls of over 2000 frail homebound seniors each day. Our organization runs very efficiently with an extremely small staff and very low overhead. The compassion, dedication and hard work of our volunteers is inspiring.
My young daughter and I delivered the last meal to a recipient the day before he passed away. He expressed how important his meals and visit were each day and how grateful he was to receive them. That experience reinforced the life changing importance of what we do.

I’ve also been a donor, chaired our Five Star Gala with Narsai David and am now the Board President. Every aspect of my involvement has been profoundly rewarding.
