My Nonprofit Reviews

Grandma Honey
Review for Oak Lake Art Center, Valley Center, CA, USA
I have personally witnessed the work OLAC has done in the schools and communities. Ed White and his staff are bringing art to those who greatly benefit from it, especially children who have special needs. The hands-on approach that is used gets everyone involved and expands the recipients' horizons. In a time when the arts are being cut back in schools, this program fulfills a need in a very positive manner.
More Feedback
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
the help they have given to special needs children through their intuitive art program.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
like to enlarge OLAC so that the outreach of the program could be expanded. Unfortunately, this takes more funds.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
seeing the excitement on the faces of the children involved.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
caring, organized, and professional.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
reach even more children in more areas, thus incrasing the healing through art.
Ways to make it better...
the program could be expanded to include even more children.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
funding and expansion of the program.
One thing I'd also say is that...
art is truly a healing tool, especially for children who have difficulties dealing with the pressures of life.
