Review for Mission4Maureen, South Euclid, OH, USA
Hi,my name is Lisa Braner. My cousin is Maureen Lowis, and she is the "Angel", that began this mission to be carried out as her greatest wish before God brought her home , as she peacefully went on that Good Friday, before Easter as she went to her final resting place to be with our sweet Jesus. Even before Maureen was diagnosed with Glioblastoma (brain cancer),she was silently doing her angel work here on earth. The mother of three beautiful young children , awesome wife to Terrence, daughter of Larry and Teresa Walker, also known as (Queen Maureen ), sister to Jeffrey and David, and grandaughter ,niece, cousin, "special needs teacher, and the best friend anyone could ask for.Active in the church community , as well as just all around Maureen was Always putting others first.... you never saw her without a smile or never knew she wasn't feeling well , even when her cancer struck her, Maureen and her husband , went to the Lord for their answers and you never saw a REAL LOVE STORY , until you watched the LOWIS's take this illness and and live each and every day to the fullest , only to begin with God ,at the start of each day, knowing exactly that he was the answer to the whole outcome of how the story would become the MISSION4MAUREEN FOUNDATION, Maureens final wish has now come true as she shines like a Rainbow knowing her legacy is being carried out by her very family. Everyone doing their part, ironman runs, triatholns, her very own daughter Sarah , growing her hair for 1 whole year then having it cut ,as she is being video (d) to donate to have it made into a wig for someone who has lost their hair to cancer treatments. All three children , cousins and family members participating in the ironman runs and triatholons, all over the U.S.,with all supporters, wearing t-shirts, with the mission4maureen logo on them . Maureens girlfriends have made bracelets that they wore while Maureen was still in the hospital , and as cousins arrived for her funeral we all wanted one, which is now known as "The Maureen Bracelet, each bead having a meaning for a certain thing,) now if donations made of a certain amount , donors can recieve one of these. Wonderful things happen through this mission though you must always keep your eyes open, Maureen's grandmother was very ill and about to pass, and a hospice volunteer was caring for her in her home , when she was wearing hers, and so was the hospice worker, when asked where she got the bracelet, she said oh everyone at the office is looking for "A Maureen Bracelet " and Aunt Teresa , said well this sweet lady here is Maureen's grandmother. God Is Good. Now just this June 20, 2009, my grandmother of 96 years, passed away , at the Dayton , Ohio Hospice, I was with her when she passed , her birthday was on May 19, she was in perfect health, as a matter of fact she was playing cards that afternoon and had a stroke . When she was taken to hospice , I left from Atlanta to be with her until her death, nine days , no food or water, you talk about a wonderful woman of God , yes she was too. My point here I took my Maureen Bracelet, and had it Blessed while we were there , and put it on her and prayed for less suffering and pain.It was returned to me after she passed , as she loved to wear bracelets and this was just more meaningful for me . As for the mission to continue to be carried out for Maureen , I have recriuted 21 members and have asked more of my facebook friends, and am waiting their reply. My next plan is I am having a liscense plate designed for the front of cars with the MISSION4MAUREEN motto "Nobody can do everything but everybody can do something" , and this will not be a regular car tag just a fight against brain cancer. Then once this is designed, I want to go to all of the festivals since I am a southerner and set up my booth with all of the MISSION4MAUREEN t-shirts, hats bracelets etc.and applications for our fight against brain cancer. To finish my story on "Our Angel her final wish was to be able to help those who needed help financially , or otherwise who also had to fight this disease , and she wanted this more than anything when she met a little boy , when she was going through some treatment at the same time he was. I don't know of a stronger man than Maureen's husband Terrence , who has made this dream come true for Maureen, he has done a tremendous job with the children, and just absolutly honered Maureens wish , with the help of Uncle Larry , Maureens dad who keeps the mission running , which i know their are alot more we don't all see, but between God and those two Men , MISSION4MAUREEN definitly should be number 1 in the fight to help fight those that otherwise can not help themselves, or their families. Because "Nobody Can Do Everything,But Everybody Can Do Something". Go Queen Maureen, And May God Bless this organization and all who keep it going. Your Cousin. Lisa Braner
More Feedback
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
Helping families in financial need.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Leave Larry Walker in his position and Terrence Lowis in his.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
All of the different types of fund raisers, May Day Lottery's,Maureen Bracelets, Christmas Ornaments
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
AWESOME!!!!!!
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Do unimaginable things, Terrence has an incredibly "Creative Mind", he would definitly help those families in need , finances , etc, but, he would probably open some sort of shelter or home for children or, theatre or Terrence?????
Ways to make it better...
No complaints.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
The cure for Brain Cancer!!!!!!
One thing I'd also say is that...
I am proud of the accomplishments thus far , and am waiting for Big things to happen for MISSION4MAUREEN, Good Luck!!!!!!
