Mission: Women’s eNews is an award-winning nonprofit news service covering issues of particular concern to women and creating significant social impact through its work and collaborations: The competitive advantage of Women’s eNews lies in its unique combination of three functions: 1. Serious Reporting: Women’s eNews conducts high quality journalism on serious issues that are of particular concern to women. 2. Women's eNews is a fantastic resource about current events that are impacting the lives of women and girls. I can always count on them for a good book review, an analysis of a policy initiative, or even a pop culture heads up. I've worked for a women's foundation for 3 years, and I always start my day by checking out what Women's eNews has to offer.

I have been a subscriber to the Women's E-News almost since its inception. I find it indispensable and I have shared it with many others, thus leading to their subscribing. I love the format of the service and the range of topics covered--essential stories including policy issues, reproductive rights, equal employment opportunity; reporting on the lives of women around the world, and historical pieces--I love this service and wouldn't want to have to get along without it!

Women's eNews is part of my daily diet. It helps me to keep alive that essential aspect of gender perspective.
My view of the world is incomplete without the daily dose of Women's eNews which keeps me in touch with what is happening in the life of more than half the population of the globe.

Women's eNews helps female professionals directly and indirectly. Each year the organization recognizes 21 female leaders nationally. This recognition helps our individual efforts nationally and locally by bringing credibility to them. The celebration of the awards, which brings us together and introduces us to each other, is extremely helpful to our networking. In addition, by identifying national-level women who are successful in their fields and who have assisted other women, Women's eNews inspires the next generation to success in their fields and to assist other women similarly. The organization is unique and plays an important role in the advancement of women nationally.

I worked with Women's eNews on a program on teen dating abuse and domestic violence. Their coverage was comprehensive and insightful.

Women's E-News is invaluable to more than half the population whose interests are so poorly served by other news venues. it's a scandal-- the lack fo emplyment of women journalists and the lack of coverage of issues women contend with, and much has been written about it for decades, yet the change has been glacial. Women's eNews is not only necessary, it is also executed to the highest standard of journalism.

Women's eNews fills a much needed chasm in reporting on women's issues. Mainstream media simply doesn't focus on global issue concerning women, but Women's eNews does. Every day they deliver original reporting and I wouldn't know 1/10th of what I know about women's issues if not for Women's eNews. They are the best source of news concerning women, and they focus on issues like domestic violence, economic empowerment, and other topics that get no mainstream coverage unless it's about a movie or rock star. Women's eNews cares about all women, not just famous women.

I was recently honored by Women's E-News as one of 21 Leaders for the 21st Century, along with 20 other amazing recipients. One was a man doing legal work on behalf of battered women. Other leaders included a doctor working in faraway places for maternal health and child well-being; women completing a Torah; policy makers;a fabulous 88 year old journalist courageously reporting throughout her life, and now onto a new project. The breadth and diversity of these leaders included, black, white, Muslim, Jewish, Christian, young, old, men, women from many parts of the globe. We had the pretty the passable, and the downright unclassifiable, and we were all dressed up, down, or well, how shall I say? uniquely. Pretty much like the world. This event was a microcosm: Women's E-News brings awareness TO the world, and FROM the world to all of us about women's issues and how important is is for women to be involved on every level on a global basis because the world works better when women are involved. Take Norway: they didn't go belly up. Why? Partly due to WOMEN being involved at higher levels with the economy. Yes to Women's E-News. They are dedicated, reliable, and trustworthy. It's one of the best run non-profits I know of effectively working to empower women across class, race, ethnic, religious and power divides. By sharing their knowledge every day, they are networking and uniting across boundaries for a purpose. I am a supporter, reader and enthusiast! Read Women's-E-News, get involved. Makes you know you can do something great every day.

WomensENews provides me with information and inspiration in a way that no other organization does. The general media tends to ignore the wide world of so called women's issues - which in fact affect the health and wellbeing not only of women, but of families and communities. Educating women raises the socio-economic level of the whole community. Understanding women's issues around the globe is crucial to developing a humane and sustainable world.

As a professor I often urged my women's studies students to subscribe to ENEWS - they would discuss what they learned with animation. Women's ENEWS brings stories not found elsewhere to many.

No one covers women's rights, feminist history and other issues -- with the stories told in women's voices -- the way that Women's eNews does.

I've published a dozen books on the history of American women, and Women's E-News does an excellent job of keeping me current. I read it every day and often file the weekly summary for future chronologies. Unlike much of what is on the internet, it is absolutely reliable information -- and on the rare occasions when they make a mistake, they correct it.

Women's Enews is a vital part of exploring and keeping up-to-date about the rapidly-changing world of women, both those in the news and the vasr majority in the world who are in a daily struggle, trying to make their lives and their children's lives better. It is a realisitc but hopeful commentary on our world.

I read Women's ENews to stay on top of news and issues affecting women in the United States and around the world. I often assign articles from Women's ENews to the students in my Intro to Women's Studies classes so that they can see how the issues we're studying affect women globally. The emphasis on women's empowerment (women's movements and organizations that are making a difference in the quality of women's lives all around the world) is something that my students find inspiring. I also appreciate the commentary for providing new perspectives on important issues. Women's ENews presents all this with sympathy and respect for the women it covers, and with the recognition that women matter. It's one of very few media resources that puts women's issues and concerns at the center.

Women's ENews is an invaluable tool for introducing students to the reality of the news worthy presence of women in the world. Too few college students read any news, so making classes subscribe to WEN creates a good center of gravity, and provides concrete examples of the many themes/concepts developed in women's studies classes. Women's Enews is, in my opinion, the MOST classroom friendly feminist media source.

Women's eNews brings to the surface issues affecting women and compelling stories that illuminate the challenges women and girls face in many cultures. The information, and the high-level rendering of the articles that appear daily, simply do not exist in any other forum.

As a professional journalist, I found Womens ENews to be a breath of fresh air. They gave me the green light to write about important (and often ignored) stories that impact women's lives. They're willing to explore issues that other publications won't, and when it comes to editing, they don't miss a thing. They are passionate about offering thoroughly vetted, quality reporting. It's a joy to write for them, and its so vital that they exist.

I've been subscribing to Wemen's ENews for many years. It is my daily dose of feminist news from all over the world. I generally only have time to read one or two news articles a day and the email I get from them is #1 on that short list. I often bring stories from WEN into my classes (I'm a professor of Sociology), and email articles to students and colleagues. I have seen this organization improve their communications, their website, and the scope of their coverage for years now, and have been consistently impressed. I do not have current suggestions for improvement!
