From the moment you walk in the door and see Alexandra's smiling face to the various touches around the center, you know that here is a place that can help. During an emotional and heartrenching time you can finally come to a place that understands, a place that knows what you are going through and offers options that really make a difference it is a great comfort. From the volunteers to the paid staff this such a place.
They were very helpful with information when my Mom was sick. Without them I believe we would have made some wrong decisions in regards to her medical choices.
Made everything a lot easier with this nasty thing called CANCER...they gave us the resources needed to try and make this chapter in our lives somewhat easier.
The staff at WeSPARK is just amazing. They are a great organization and were very helpful and friendly. Good job!!
SPARK made it all much easier. They offer great services and really are what people need. Great job SPARK! keep it up!
I was on tour here and was overwhlemed by the enthusiasim and the passion of work in regards to suporting people with cancer. It was poignant and at the same time extremely mood upflifting.
The staff members that work for the WS center were amazing, they are caring, loving, fun and have great attitudes towards their work. They all love their jobs. You can immediately see the impact they make on all the people around them. All the different events they host like the runs/walks, golf tournaments, and adult groups are just a few ways they provide for those in need. Im glad to have been part of this group and cant wait to help them again!
I attended an event for WeSpark and was blown away by the level of organizationan and focus in its goals to create awareness and support in the fight against breast cancer. Information was abundant and I certainly walked away feeling more educated on the subject. The event was also fun and well run. There was a deep level of care and attention to a central yet easily relatable goal.
We Spark has given me so many opportunities to help myself get the support I need to cope with my recovery from cancer treatment and it's affect on the mind and body. This is a warm and caring group that has had such an impact on my life. They understand that recovering from cancer does not stop after a treatment is done.
weSPARK has a fresh approach to helping families affected by cancer. I always enjoy helping weSPARK at their fundraising events. I can see the community that weSPARK reaches out to and I am so glad there is a place like weSPARK in our community.
I started taking yoga at We Spark about a year after I had been diagnosed with Breast Cancer. I feel so comfortable there. Everyone there is so nice and people are made to feel welcome. No judgements are made and there is an upspoken message that I feel there that we all share a common challenge and the same goals.
As a nursing student preparing a presentation on a health topic (I chose cancer), I thought, where would one go -- in the community -- if one needed emotional support for this anxiety- producing diagnosis? In my research, I found WeSPARK, called them explaining my request as to the details of what they were and what they did. They invited me for interviews, tours, and gave me so much information. The staff is phenomenal -- the environment healing. Indoors as well as outdoors. Just beautiful. Their programs are so well thought out and comforting, to those diagnosed, as well as family and friends. I was encouraged to ask questions -- they seemed to have endless patience. What a diamond of an organization to give so much in so many different ways. How comforting it is to me frequently meeting -- or knowing people recently diagnosed, that there is somewhere wonderful I can recommend for them to check out. It is a jewel of a resource, and those who have inspired such a creative healing center most definitely has helped me understand the nature of true caring.
You have a great organization. It's important for cancer patients and those who take care of them. You have a great team.
Helping individuals and families deal with cancer is a very special calling. The people at weSPARK have such a calling. The wonderful nonprofit provides immeasurable support and comfort to so many. It is an honor to support and celebrate their efforts.
This is a wonderful organization. It is important to have resources like this for those who are suffering or have someone suffering from cancer and of course free of charge.
WeSpark has been very helpful for my Mother during her breast cancer treatment. She has been much happier since she started attending group therapy sessions and enjoys the friends she's made.
a close personal friend of mine used the services of wespark extensively as part of her recovery from breast cancer. the facility was close to where she lived, and the various programs offered were instrumental in her physical, mental and emotional recovery. i am very grateful for the program and recommend it to anyone in a similar situation.
I have a very dear friend who has cancer and I can't tell you how many times she has talked about everyone there and how much they have helped her. I'm so grateful that she has such a WONDERFUL support group!!! Thank you all SOOO much for the love and support you give to her and the many other people you have helped.
Unfortunatly, having known many to be effected by various diseases, including cancer, I know how important it is to have support and advice at such an unfortunate time. WeSpark is such a place. The support there is uncomparable.
My mother in law has been a participant with WeSPARK and it has loved it. It is obvious that she was helped through her entire ordeal by WeSPARK, and I cannot imagine anyone having to go through a cancer experience without WeSPARK
