I provided entertainment services for two of the We Spark Events. The people that attended (recipients of services from the organization) were most thankful to the organization and told me of the life changing activities provided by We Spark. A most positive and upbeat crowd thankful for the organization. It doesn't get any better. Regards, Paul Green
Hi, I am an entertainer and I have participated in a number of the fundraising events for WeSpark. This is a wonderful organization and many of the attendees of the events speak highly of the support they receive from WeSpark. I lend my talents to only a few select organizations--WeSpark is definately one of them.
My friend asked that I help volunteer at a charity golf tourny a couple of years a go for WeSpark. I couldn't believe the outpouring of support people had for such a worthy cause. Helping people with cancer and their support team with free outreach is just phenomenal! What makes WeSpark's services so unique is that it culminated from Wendie Jo's personal experience combating cancer. She knows what kind of support cancer fighters and their support team need in order to survive the treatment and recovery of cancer. I know if I had to recommend a support service WeSpark is at the top of my list.
This is a wonderful organization, which helps women, their children and their husbands have a safe place to go to get free information and help. It has all different programs helping people to learn to LIVE with cancer
I have worked with weSPARK as a volunteer with my Temple Women's Auxiliary Group WOW (Women of Wise). In the past three years, our group has donated beautiful hand-made inspirational pillows, hand-crafted yoga bags with mats, Hanukkah family gifts, and journals. Recently, we hosted a cooking class with cancer-prevention nutritionist Pamela Herskovitz. This agency does remarkable work, and we will continue to support them in the upccoming year as well.
Located in the San Fernando Valley, weSPARK is a unique cancer support center dedicated to enhance the quality of life for cancer patients. As a volunteer. I am privileged to give of my time there. When you enter the center you are met with a staff of warm and loving people. The atmosphere gives you a feeling of hope. With all the activities and support groups going on you know something magical is going on. People are smiling.
I had been volunteering for the WESpark organization for quite a while before I myself was diagnosed with cancer. Not only did my work at WeSpark help me gain insight into the heart of the organization, but it also let me see how many lives the organization touched in the process of helping and healing. It was very comforting knowing that WeSpark was there and about the many powerful assistance tools that they possess.
I have not personally utilized the services of WeSPARK, however I have volunteered for this organization with fundraisers for the past 6 or 7 years. I believe, as a cancer survivor myself, that they have a very important and needed mission, which needs to be available to anyone that needs this invaluable service they offer.
I came to We Sparks because I am a breast cancer survivor, but also because of a freind who is an actor who died of cancer. I ran into him on the set of Grey's Anatomy a few months before he died. He thought I could do some good there, having lost my breasts to "the Monster." We had originally met on my birthday on a set, and he had offered to buy me lunch. That was just a few weeks before my own cancer diagnosis. I never got to return the favor. I will always owe him that lunch. Even though he was terminal, he was doing what he loved to the bitter end, and I understand that, all too well. We Sparks is a place for people to heal. It is a place for people to connect. It is a place that someone like my friend needed. It may also be a place like someone like you or someone you love may need. -Laura Tull
WeSPARK was created by Wendie Jo Sperber because their was an incredible need for mind, body and spirit support for people and their families that were dealing with cancer. I met Wendie as she was organizing her first event so that her amazing dream could become a reality. I am a cancer survivor and when I was diagnosed and going through treatment there was no WeSPARK. I am proud and honored to have been and continue to be a part of a center that offers comfort, support, love and spiritual connection for all those dealing with cancer.
I love WeSPARK. I adored Wendy and I admire her approach to wellness. A member of WeSPARK invited me to the center and the staff just WOW-ed me with their kindness and care. Love heals and this is a terrific place to feel loved. Michael Dudikoff
