As the Executive Director of the Vallejo Convention and Visitors Bureau I am fortunate to attend many of the events presented by our members. I have worked for the Vallejo CVB for seven years and during my first few years, while helping to promote and support the Vallejo Symphony I had not attended one of their concerts thinking that I am not a huge fan of classical music. Well about four years ago, I decided it was time for me to see what friends and other members were saying when the claimed that if I just attend one of their performances that I would become a fan,
I discoverd they were absolutely right and I have been a huge promoter and a financial supporter too, ever since. The orchestra is superb and it does not matter that you are not lover of the classics but that you allow the music to let you escape from the hectic everyday world and enjoy the experience of a live symphony. And the Maestro David Ramadanoff's pre-concert sessions and his interesting remarks prior to the program enlighten and educate the performances. I as well as the community of Vallejo are so lucky that we have symphony orchestra since 1932 and I continually remind people of this fact and that if they just experience one concert that they will be back time after time to enjoy this talented orchestra.
