The Client director George Gomez at TPC has been absolutely wonderful! he always responds quickly and provides such detailed information. I have volunteered with TPC . They couldn't have a more seamless and organized volunteer process. I know the Volunteer Manager is super busy but he always takes the time to assist us in scheduling our visits. I would recommend volunteering with the agency without a doubt!

Turnig Point is the only place that addreses the elderly homeless. In the past 20 years they have helped thousands of people get back on their feet. The model is being researched by other large cities around the US eager to replicate their success. for more information check their web page at turningpointcenter.org It is a great place to start!

I called and spoke with Jeff and they were very grateful that I thought of them. I was very surprised the first thing you see when you enter is a beautiful statue of an Angel. It looks more like a retirement home rather than a shelter. I will plan to come back and volunteer soon.

Everyone has a need at some point in their life for services and not very many focuses on elderly people who are the lost and forgotten souls. Turning Point serves the homeless and the community outstanding.

Having worked at other shelters (somewhat similar) I can compare and say that Turning Point is very well run and the staff are consistently making efforts to make it a better place for its residents

My daughters and I have been involved with Turning Point on and off throughout the years since the early 1990s. It has always been a remarkable place and the mission of providing odler people with shelter during the hardest times of their life is a very admirable endeavor

From the moment we arrived we were very immpressed. This organization is so efficient and not only meets peoples immediate needs, but helps them live. It then helps them establish a new way of living and gets them equipped to become independent.
