Hi I'm Winda,
I'm a recovering addict. While we are all different the things that we went through are basically the same. This time around I was blessed to land in an excellent program called Crossroads...Through Crossroads I was introduced to" A Time for Change/ Positive Future". Their staff is wonderful and hand on. My experiences with A Time for Change/ positive Futures staff have been exciting, informative, and encouraging. Not too long ago they invited me to a Women's Conference for a weekend it was phenomenal. I've learned with them that even though we struggle, we have to lean into the spirit, do the personal work and humble ourselves to do better in life. Today I feel like no matter what - I'm not alone they're supportive. I want to thank them for all of the time and energy they put into helping women like me…

Not only that but we're a family and we all help each other succeed.

Being here at Time For Change Foundation has been a blessing to me.The love, care, support and help they give me is helping me in my recovery my reintegration into society and in becoming a strong confident woman. THANK YOU TIME FOR CHANGE FOUNDATION AND ALL ITS EMPLOYEES FOR BEING HERE FOR ME.
First of all I would like to say how truly blessed I am to still have a job during this crazy pandemic. They have figured out a way for us to continue working remotely while providing us with safety gear such as masks and gloves to make sure our team makes it through. We are assisting with rental assistance to help our community for those who have lost jobs due to COVID-19 and there are A LOT of people who are no longer working-so I'm truly blessed and financially safe. I've also been on the other side of this program as I started out as a client. I came to them broken without anything, without my 2 boys even. Addicted to drugs and running from a very abusive relationship. They helped me to rebuild myself into the woman that I am today. Helped me heal from my past. I am very proud that I've got my boys back in my life, have my own place, own car and job where I get to help women like myself. I would definitely recommend this program to anyone wanting to change. It's a life changer for sure!
A time for change foundation has changed my life! With the care and support of thier staff I have been able to reach all of my short term goals and have become a new person. Through my participation in thier possitive futures program I have completed career development training and obtained employment at a job that I love. They have provided me with counselling and therapy which has made it possible to rebuild a relationship with my family and I am progressing towards regaining custody of my three children, which I never believed would have been possible. I have been placed in a safe and healthy sober living environment where I have been blessed with a wonderful support system which helps me to maintain the lifestyle changes that keep me progressing towards self sufficiency. With the constant encouragement and all of the supportive services that A Time For Change Foundation provides me I know I will continue to improve and grow and I am forever grateful beyond words for all that they have done. Thank you A Time For Change Foundation!! With love and sincere appreciation, Brianna Englund.
A time for change foundation is a place where you can find hope , faith, love, compassion, as well as yourself. Mrs. Carter an amazing woman is helps from the heart. If you are looking to make change in your life for the good, she will assist you. Giving all proper tools needed for change. She loves very hard. And she will help you love yourself even more.
My name is Gloria Garcia I reached out to Time For Change Foundation August 09, 2019. I was homeless being released from jail with nowhere to go. I was arrested in June 2019 for a DUI. Time for Change was able to provide me with housing in a sober clean environment. I'm in the Positive Futures Program which provides temporary housing, counseling and career development for formerly incarcerated women. Time For Change Foundation staff is supportive and encourages women to work hard towards future goals becoming self sufficient. I have been in Positive Futures program since August 09, 2019 and have remained sober. I have stable housing also reinstated my drivers license. I have obtained employment also working towards future goals. I'm grateful to Time For Change Foundation and the staff for all the support and resources they have provided to me. Especially all the encouragement they have given to me. I'm so grateful and appreciate all staff. I love Time For Change Foundation. This organization offers the best form of help, that can be given in the state of California. Its build to help women transition from prison, as well as gain self sufficiency. I am proud to be a part of it. This has truly been a blessing. It has helped me accomplish some of my personal goals that I couldn't seem to do for years. I am so much closer to becoming self sufficient, getting my daughter and staying grounded. This program is created to help women transition from prison to the real world as well as to help women reunify with their children and become productive citizens in society. Thank you time for change for this opportunity. -Shelisha Gray

My name is Ilka Rosales. I am currently a client at a time for change foundation. i just wanted to let the public know what a BLESSING they are to me in my transition. i was incarcerated for 25 years and was released a month an a half ago. i came to a time for change foundation because i had to go to a transitional housing due to the lenth of time that i was incarcerated. i went to prison at 18 years of age and was released 25 years later. All i have ever dreamed of was coming home and enjoying freedom. Little did i know that after doing 25 years i was institutionalized. i had not realized that i was no longer in tune with the freeworld. i had anxiety attacks, i felt as if i did not belong in the public, and felt as if everyone was looking at me because i was from prison. Even after being free i did not feel free. A time for change foundation and all their staff held my hand through the ups and the downs never judging me or making me feel less than for not acclimating into the community with ease. they were there to constantly check if im ok and yet give me enough room to grow. The classes and groups that they offer here at a time for change helped me tremendously as they are a 24 hour staff assistant program. it did not matter what time of the day it was they always made themselves available and present. i am so grateful for their care, concern and their constant reminders that i do belong in the community and i can make a difference. Since my release and the help and aid from a time for change i am now on my way to a successful transition into self sufficiency. i am currently enrolled and attend Chaffey College, i have a job, and am able to go into stores and places with ease. There was no way i would have had the success that i have without the help of a time for change. i would have been another woman to increase the recividism rate of formerly incarcerated women. I just want to thank a time for change and the people who help fund this program because without programs like a time for change i would not have become the self-sufficient woman that i have become but another number with another violation.

This agency has helped transform my life! I came to them from a domestic violent relationship. Every time I tried to leave, I was homeless. I had lost my children and became very addicted to drugs. I'm frankly surprised I made it out alive. Time for Change Foundation welcomed me with open arms. I was given a case manager who worked closely with me. She helped me take a look at my life and make personal goals I would be working toward. My 4 goals I had for myself were 1.)get my children back in my life 2.)get my license back/and a car 3.)get a place to live 4.)get a job...oh, and of course maintain my sobriety. I am very proud that I have reached every goal I had for myself! I couldn't have done it without the love, support and stability this program has to offer! It truly changed me from the inside out! I am now the woman God intended me to be! I am self-sufficient and am able to take care of myself and my family! I will always be in support of Time for Change Foundation! -A. Durante

My name is Stacy, I've been a client here at Time for Change Foundation for going on 7 months. Before I came to Time for Change I was drug addicted, homeless and was stuck in a abusive relationship. CPS had removed my 2 kids from me. I felt hopeless, I was homeless so I felt the only way to survive on the streets was to keep getting high. I knew I couldn't get sober if I had nowhere to stay sober at, drugs were all around me. After my kids were taken I didn't see or speak to them for a whole year. This went on for years, finally I couldn't take the abuse anymore and I wanted out of the lifestyle, I was broken and ashamed of myself and lost. I went to Cedar House to get clean, my kids were on the verge of being adopted and even with me going to Cedar House they told me I was too late and they were still going to continue with terminating my services and adopting my kids out. Upon completing my program at Cedar House I heard about Time for Change so I called and got a phone interview and was set up with a client empowerment counsel. I just knew right when I stepped foot in the doors that this is where God wanted me to be. I came into Time for Change on October 24, 2016 and at that time I had a one-week supervised visit with my two children. The case managers and the other women here encouraged me every day to keep fighting. Once my CPS worker seen I had stable housing and a place to bring my kids to, I started receiving unsupervised visits then weekend visits. As of April 10, 2017 my kids have been returned home to me for good! Time for Change gave me a chance to completely change my life, they encouraged me and helped me along the way. I was able to build a savings, I now work, we have a stable home and my daughter is receiving awards at school. I got my life back coming to Time for Change!

Time for Change Foundation has completely transformed me and my families life. We recently went to a church in Fontana were they honored the woman of time for change for making the positive changes necessary to be a productive member of society. Since being at this foundation I have completed a six month intensive drug and alcohol program, became a successful full time college student, and a loving mother to my thriving children.
Time for Change Foundation is the best thing that happen for me and my family i have been nothing but blessed since i came to this Foundation. I got my son back out of CFS custody . I now have my own place . They did things for me that i could not do for myself and for that i am very grateful. I love myself today i know how to use my voice in a positive way i am a leader i know how to budget my money, and know how to live happy in a drug free environment. We need more Time for Change Foundations in this world so that other people can have the same chance that was given to me.
My name is Dawn and I have been with TFCF for 2 years now. Before coming here I was on drugs, homeless, broken, and without my children. Since coming here I have gotten my children out of CFS and also have gotten my case closed. I now live in my own apartment, I am also employable now. Before coming here I did not believe that I deserved to have a happy life with my children, I felt the only thing I was good at was being a drug addict, but now I realize that I do deserve to be happy and me and my children deserve nothing but the best. Time for Change has given me the voice I never thought i could have.

In the short time I've been here, Time for Change Foundation has changed my life. I am a recovering drug addict and a little over a year ago I gave my children up to CFS. Since coming here I have started getting unsupervised visits, and I should have my children back by the end of October. This program has given me faith that I can succeed in life and be a productive member of society, and that I WILL be the sober mom that my children deserve.

My name is Rachelle Phipps, and I came into The Time for Change Foundation right after serving a two year prison term. I was passing through San Bernardino, Ca. from Houston, Tx. when I had caught my case, so getting released from prison, being on parole, and not being able to go back to where I was from left me jobless, homeless, and hopeless. By the grace of God, I was accepted into Time for Change the very next day of my release, so I didnt have to go back to the streets. This was approximately 2 months ago. Since then, I have been provided with a loving home, food, clothing, group therapy, job skills, medical insurance, and so much more. Today, I have a job and am making an honest living. Time for Change has not only helped me physically, but mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. The staff here is awesome, and they've helped me to discover so much about myself as a person. I just want to take the time to let them know how appreciative that I am to be here, and that i will never settle, but to forever strive for greatness. Thank you Ms. Lisa, Ms. Vanessa, Ms. Phyllis, Ms. Gina, Mr. Dwayne, Ms. Mayra, Ms. Sereeta, and most of all, Ms. Kim Carter. This program DOES work!
My father passed away and the house was under reverse mortgage. I found myself homeless with my two children. Time for change accepted my children and I with open hearts and arms.
They treat us like family, I am so thankful and grateful to have found an organization like Time for Change. Anything that my children or I need they accommodate us with. It has been a privilege working with all the clients and case workers. They are all so kind, helpful and generous. There mission is to help me be self sufficient and I am looking forward to it.

My name is Erin Graae and I'm 44 years old. I have been addicted to methamphetamine since the age of 12, in and out of prison for 15 years. My life had been out of control for so long and only prison walls kept me safe. I became desperate for a change. So desperate in fact that it felt like life or death to me. I started looking for help a year before I was to be released and all roads led me to Time For Change. I came here the day after I walked out from behind those prison walls and I had hope but I was still fearful that I wouldn't be able to make it. Today I am not fearful. I am actually empowered! All of the steps that I have been asked to take by the staff at Time For Change have had a purpose. I have been asked to give back to the community and it is a great feeling!! My self esteem has skyrocketed since I was urged to dress for success. I have started restoring my relationship with my kids and I am going to start looking for a job soon. This has all happened in a short amount of time and I have the staff at Time For Change and Kim Carter to thank for my transformation. I know I will still have struggles but I know I won't have to go through them alone and for that I am most grateful.
My name is Rhonda T. i am 47 years old and i have 4 adult children and 5 grandchildren that live in the area. i came her homeless and broken in pieces once more. My homelessness was not my first go around. I have been homeless 23 time in 27 years. I am dull diagnosed with borderline personality disorder and addiction to alcohol and drugs. i most of my life i have battled staying in one place due to my disorder.. When i came to TFCF i had enough of using my sickness as a way to not be responsible. My family didn't want me and my 3 marriages have failed. I have learned how to get along with other women and stay away from men. not because men are bad, i just need to heal from running a muck for so long. Its time to learn and love me and my kids and grandkids. TFCF has given me a safe place to get tools to move forward without sabotaging. The classes that are provided have thought me how to save my money. Hold a job and be on time. Give back to the community and embrace change permanently not temporarily . I volunteer sometimes and i love to be apart of this organization and movement. I wish i had this place when my kids were young maybe i wouldn't have put them through what they went through. Nevertheless I am happy inside and focused for the first time. i am truly grateful and i can't wait to see what next for me and my family.

My son and I was excepted into Time For Change which is a well based ruled structured program. Being here I'm learning coping skills, Bonding as well as to become self sufficiency. I've also caught up on all the importance in being a parent and the responsibilities in regards to my child, and working hard in accomplishing my goals. well if it time for a change ,
no longer can I stay the same .
We must move on we must give
birth and be reborn .
Changing our passed , pushing forth
the future and what it holds ,
No more lame excuses it time to ,
grow up and become bold .
Showing the way to those who ,
come behind us , and not those who try to bind us .
Am I worthy , can it be , that anyone can possibly love me ,
Will I live to see , all that I can be
My KINDA ME

A blessing that I found time for change foundation and was excepted into the program. Coming into the program completely broken young women from the inside and out. I was homeless, no confidence, no self sufficiency, faith was broken, no hope, no motivation, and no direction for my own life. Since being here I have had many blessings. I have had a roof over my head in one of the few beautiful shelter homes they have within the foundation. I was under weight arriving here, and only had two pairs of clothing entering into the program. Now I am the proper weight and have a nice size wardrobe. Surrounded with caring, loving, fun, humorous clients and staff is amazing. I have been able to build relationship, and memories. That will last me forever. I have been rebuilding myself in all aspects. With the way I feel, look, and carry myself. I attend group Monday - Friday in the evening and job search Monday - Friday during the day. Which It has have helped connect with the other girls, as well as get out emotions and situations things that I am not the only one. They have helped get into individual therapy which I attended weekly. To help me get through old and current issues. I have gone several interview while being here. I had been able to landed a temp job that was my highest pay ever. I have been able to establish a saving account for the first time in my entire whole life. I am almost 25 years old and never been able to save a penny until coming here. I have see the growth within myself and many other clients. I have seen clients get clean and stay clean through the help of the program. I have seen clients get the there children back and establish quality relationships. This a wonderful foundation and do many great things.
Before coming to time for change foundation i suffered with drugs for sixteen years. i lost my kids to my aunt due to my drug addiction. Right after that i went to prison after getting out i had my daughter Londyn. When she was born she passed away two and a half months later then i relapsed. At that moment i realized i needed help i went to program which i completed. I didn't have anywhere else to go, that's when i heard about time for change. Since being here i have been able to overcome some challenges that held me back in my past and i have been able to move forward in a healthy way. Time for change is a blessing and i thank god everyday for giving me the opportunity to be here.

Time for change has taught me how to be a better mom, friend, sister and a productive member of society.I will be forever grateful for time for change who never gave up on me and showed me the true meaning of family.
Hello, my name is Shanda...I have struggled with addiction for 14 years and came to this program 9 months ago...I was homeless and had no where to go and no hope left...This program welcomed me in with open arms and showed me love that no one else did. Four months after being in the program, I regained custody of my children and started building a life we should've had all along. I have started a savings which I have never had before, my kids are stable and going to school everyday. I am building structure with them, which we have never really had until now. I wake up in the morning wanting to live instead of wanting to die...I am forever grateful for the staff here at Time For Change and everything they have done and continue to do for my kids and I...I could never thank them enough
i have used drugs since i was 18. im now 25 ive been through rehab about 10 times. and incarcerated for three months. as many times as i have done programs i have never been in a program where i was able to get them help i need and move foward in my life. ive been here for 3 months and ive already built a savings account and had a job. i have a place to call home. i get to see my son more than i was before. ive grown so much and im able to deal with the things life throws at me instead of running back to drugs or the streets or men. this place has truley shown me i dont need anyone to define me. i no longer run from my fears but i face them.
I entered Time For Change a very broken, abused and doubtful person. I trusted no one. How was I supposed too, when the one I loved and was married to was the one breaking me down. The staff at Time For Change understood my situation and my hidden feelings. They helped me open up and face what I had been through. Here I was encouraged to reconnect with God and grow deeper in my personal relationship with Him. Today, I have rediscovered that I am a very worthwhile lady with many attributes to offer to society and my family and to God. Thank you Time For Change for helping me change my life. I any ladies are serious about changing their lives then I encourage them to step forward, take the challenge and contact Time For Change. You will not regret calling.

Hi my name is Melissa first and for most i'd like to start with how it was before coming to time for change my experience here at time for change and where i'am at now. When entering tfcf I was lost broken homeless and addicted to prescription pill's . I was scared and did not know what to expect from tfcf . little did i know that my life was about to change in so many ways. This program has helped me become a woman again giving me the ability to be a mother again. They have welcomed me like family they have giving me the tool's to becoming sufficient again I have now been in this program for 1 year . And I hold a manager position at work I can pay my bills and save money something that was never in my plans in life I can honestly say that everything iv'e become in the last year has everything to do with time for change foundation and for that i'm vary grateful for all of them.
I got accepted into this program straight from prison. I was given the chance to be successfully reunited with my family. I have been able to see what living a life free from alcohol and drugs are like make honest decisions about my life and to also how to take responsibility for my actions. I was still lost even though I had taken various self-help groups and therapy throughout the years. Time for Change helped me set a positive foundation for my life, and to cherish what true freedom is about. Through all of the many things I have learned the one most important thing is that someone has finally believed in Elizabeth and helped me to be free from all bondage. When you come from where I have come from then you know I am changed because of Time for Change. My name is Elizabeth Ward and I am changed.
My name is Valerie Rodriguez. My experience with Time For Change Foundation has been such a blessing. At first this was new to me to go to anyone for help besides my family. I prayed about three weeks prior to coming March 10, 2015. So this is where my great father Jesus Christ led me. I am leaving the program October 1, 2015 and am really nervous about stepping out in Faith on my own. Time For Change has been a stepping stone, great stepping stone to regaining my children and a preparing a way to succeed and get back on my feet from having came straight out of rehab. I am blessed to be here and met the TFCF staff and other sisters here in the program. I have made friends I will keep forever and learned skills I plan always to keep as well. Words cannot express my gratitude towards TFCF. I would hope as many women possible cross this path as I did here at Time For Change Foundation. Thank You Ms Carter and your staff for this rope out of a whole that i was in in. Most of all Thank You Jesus for instilling such programs into the hearts of your people.
With the assistance of TIME FOR CHANGE and the generosity of Miss.Kim Carter I have been given the blessing of a safe and stable environment to start my healthy foundation to become the mother I was intended to be. Although it takes a lot of work, dedication and commitment to work, go to groups, attend meetings and be a sober healthy mom it is well worth it. I now have a year sober and I have both my children in my life, my family respects me and most of all my actions show I truly respect myself. I have nothing but good to say when someone asks me about this program. Nothing changes until something changes and this program most definitely allows you to do so.
i was in jail thinking where am i going to stay at when i get out.
A friend told me to write time for change. so i write them and they wrote back and said when i get out that i would have a bed waiting for me. so i have a job, car and my own apartment.
I came into a time for change in desperate need. They accepted me right away, since I have been here I have gotten all of my children back. They gave me my own apartment and have guided me through to help me better myself as a mother and a person. I am so thankful for this program and Miss. Carter as well as all her staff for changing my life!

My name is Stephanie, I am a single mother of a 7 year old boy. I have struggled with the disease of addiction for a majority of my life. Throughout my addiction, I made choices that I am not proud of. In 2014, I was arrested and spent 4 months in jail, during this time my son was in the care of my parents. I was released from jail and immediately went to an inpatient rehabilitation center for 90 days. Nearing the end of my stay at the rehab, I was facing homelessness and was blessed to find Time For Change Foundation.
Upon completing my rehabilitation program I moved into the Sweet Dreams house through Time For Change Foundation. Because of being able to provide clean, safe and stable housing my son was put back into my custody 5 months earlier than originally planned. I am also able to provide healthy home cooked meals for my child, assist him with homework in a wonderful learning environment and nurture him properly.
Thanks to the Time For Change I am active in my recovery program, learning how to be a better mother, and well on my way to self sufficiency.
My name is Xochilt. I am a single mother of an 8 year old boy. I am a recovering alcoholic and a domestic violence survivor. After being homeless for the past year, I was blessed to get into Sweet Dreams at Time For Change. I am very grateful to have a safe home where i can cook, shower, sleep and be a good mother to my son. Today, thanks to the staff and resources at Time For Change, my son has a higher self-esteem, has made friends and attends school on a daily basis. I am currently job searching, active in my recovery, a voice in my community and on a great path to self sufficiency.
I came to Time For Change Foundation in January 2014 with my two small boys. I stayed in the Sweet Dreams Shelter for 5 months once I became employed I was selected to enter their Permanent Supportive Housing. I now have my own apartment, a great job helping women in our community and my children are thriving in school. I just needed someone to believe in me and that is what they did. My life is forever changed because of this program!
If you seen me today, you never would have guessed that 8 months ago I was homeless with two small children. I did not know where we would sleep or how I would get my sons to school. I worried that I would loose my children. Once I entered Time for Change program I was immediately greeted with an "Anything is possible attitude." Today I am employed full time, have an apartment and my sons are thriving in school. Our lives have changed because of the wonderful people at Time for Change. ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!
After 17 years of incarceration, I was leaving prison homeless with nothing. Time for Change Foundation provided me with hope that I could rebuild my broken life. 9 months later, I have a fantastic life. I have been self sufficient for 3 months. I have a job, a vehicle, sober extra curricular activities, a relationship with my daughter, a loving husband, a safe and secure home, food in the refrigerator. I am healthy and happy. Time For Change Foundation gave me a hand up with the tools necessary for me to thrive. Its unique programs and services are like no other. I believe I can not only dream big but exceed all my expectations.

I came to Time For Change Foundation a scared, broken woman with no insight into the future. After attending the meetings and program classes I was able to openly admit that I had a problem and I needed change.
They gave me a different perspective on life. Because of that I saw that I had a bright future ahead of me. I just needed the will to stay positive and make the necessary changes in order to reap the benefits. I now see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Since arriving here at TFC I stop using drugs (two years) I have shelter a roof over my head (homeless since 1999 and incarcerated). I am now more open with individuals, I express myself and I do not have anger issues like I used to. Most of all I have a relationship, with my only child again who is now 20 years old.
Review from Guidestar
Time for Change Foundation got me my daughter back, something for which I am ever thankful for. I used to be on drugs, on the streets, but now I'm finally back on my feet again, trying to be a healthy and productive individual and member of society once more.
Time for Change has also taught me how to be a leader, and advocate for issues that have typically discriminated against folks like myself in the past.
