Mission: The Gay Christian Network (GCN) is the preeminent interdenominational organization supporting LGBT Christians and those who love them. GCN provides resources and support to help individuals reconcile their faith and sexuality, builds interconnected networks of supportive Christian communities, and works with families, friends, and churches to create respectful dialogue on sexual orientation issues. GCN is best known for its moderated online "safe space" community, where over 13,000 people offer one another support, prayer, fellowship, and understanding in an affirming faith-based environment. This crucial support outlet is available to anyone in the world with an internet connection and regularly saves the lives of teens and adults alike. GCN's weekly podcast, YouTube video series, and Bible study materials educate and inspire gay and straight Christians around the world, while the organization's annual conference, welcoming church network, and local groups provide important face-to-face opportunities for worship, support, and community. GCN's groundbreaking new documentary, Through My Eyes, chronicles the interactions of conservative churches and gay Christian youth and is already changing hearts and minds in the church in a profound way to promote the full support of LGBT people.

GCN is an organization which bridges the gap between gay people and Christians. We have the unenviable position of standing in between worlds as we attempt to grow in our understanding of ourselves and God. Every day more and more people become a part of this family as we all attempt to reach for the unconscious goal of every human; to be loved as God made us.

GCN was there for me when I was trying to reconcile my faith and sexuality and felt there was no place to turn. I've since met my partner through it and made some wonderful friends and a great support network. I stick around to give back to those who come after who find themselves where I was 6 years ago. There's still a great need for this kind of organization.

I became part of the Gay Christian Network after I had mostly come to terms with my faith and sexuality, a struggle to which most of their resources are devoted. It has been incredibly encouraging, nonetheless, for me to find a community of other gay Christians, and I have even met my partner through the site.

I treasure the friendships that I have formed on GCN, however, and the site will always have value if for no other reason than providing those.

Giving Hope and a Natural atmosphere of Acceptance is the most powerful surroundings for any support group. There are minorities within all groups of minorities and all are being accepted and supported in GCN, not all board members and leaders of a network can pull this off like they have done and are committed to continue.

GCN has had my support for a long time, just after I attended their first annual conference gathering in Dallas. Never had I seen this world in such a new light as during the days of that conference, social settings and prayer.

GCN is truly an oasis, a haven for those struggling to reconcile sexual orientation and Christian faith. As one who is gay and married to a
straight spouse, and has only in recent years come to be OK with my orientation, I've been greatly blessed by the safe space that GCN has created for those on a journey of figuring out how to integrate
'gay' and 'Christian' in their lives, regardless of where they are in that process. There is much encouragement and support to be found here,
and a spirit of grace and humility is clearly evident in the midst of a wide diversity of experiences and perspectives.

GCN is a great resource for Christians, like me, who also happen to be gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender or those who support their GLBT family and friends. Stumbling upon GCN after a Google search nearly 3 years ago, I have become a more active member of the organization and in addition to being better able to reconcile myself and my faith, I have seen it work for others as well.

GCN is doing important work, critical.
So many faith-filled people are out there needing to hear that God DOES love them despite their orientation. He loves ALL of His created beings. I was recently blessed by attending the annual conference. It was wonderful being around people who don't feel that being LGBT and being a Believer in Jesus Christ are mutually exclusive. The organization welcomes varied views and promotes dialogue among people with views that differ.
This organization is a lifeline for many.

Through GCN I've found friends and community after years of feeling isolated and alone. First, I developed relationships online, and now that has moved to meeting people in person and becoming true friends.

GCN is a safe place for people to grow!

I have been a donor, a volunteer, and a member of the site, taking advantage of the resources available from Gay Christian Network.

Hearing the stories of others who are involved with the site has encouraged me to share and pray and receive the prayers and advice from others who have had similar experiences, varied insights.

I have also been able to share insights and experiences to help others.

Being a gay adult in rural America can be a difficult situation, and being able to reach out to others who know and understand what that reality is, helps!!

GCN is a Ministry that serves l the GLBT Communities around the world very well.
Through its website, Members have access to all of the Forums which has helped so many find answers to being Gay and Christian in this society of hate.
Non-Members are able to view some of the Forums that shows them how much this Ministry is SERVING the GLBT Community, which I hope and pray brings them to want to join this fine Ministy.
Many Family Members have joined to support their GLBT Relative, and or to find answers as what it is to be Gay and Christian.
The love shown by the Membership here towards one another, shows GOD'S true love for HIS Children, and that means ALL of HIS Children.
As we see many Church's become supporting and accepting, there is still a long way to go, but through GCN'S insight, devotion, and love; I know it wont take long to have every Church show equal love and acceptance to all those seek GOD'S word

I became aware of this organization through a web search about three years ago. GCN has made an impact on my life like only church and one other organization have. Their ability to balance such a diverse background of believers while still holding true to a Christian setting is amazing.

The messageboards on the website are a fantastic means to help reach out to people searching for answers and just someone to talk to, both those new to the website and regulars.

The yearly conference is an amazing networking experience. I for one have make a tremendous number of quality friends and deepened my faith and convictions by attending two so far.

The GCN produced "Through My Eyes" DVD has helped me reconcile with my parents and is the best resource available, in my opinion, for a gay Christian trying to come out to friends and family.

I cannot say enough good things about this organization and their efforts to reach out to its membership and to the Christian community at large.

Gay Christian Network (GCN) is an awesome organization for the LGBT community. I believe it has touched the lives of tens of thousands of people. GCN provides support, resources, and a sense of community to gay Christians and their friends and family. There have been numerous instances when I looked toward the members of GCN for prayer and support, such as with family members passing. A few nights ago I spoke with Justin Lee, creator and CEO. He is a very dedicated and welcoming man. I am always in better spirits once I speak with him. Justin is a knowledgeable and charismatic individual. He is very passionate about reaching out to those who are feel they cannot be a follower of Christ while being gay Many of us in the Christian community have been touched by Justin's generous and loving spirit.

I attended the conference this year in Nashville and it exceded my expectations. The desire to serve God was awesome. There were people being touched crying, worshiping. It was a great experience. It gave me hope to know that there are other people with the same struggles I have. There was great music and workshops to attend. I have met great people that I hope to have long relationships for the rest of my life.

GCN was an amazing resource and source of support for me as I struggled with what it meant to be both gay and Christian, and how to reconcile these two supposedly contrary notions. It provides a vital source for people across the globe, many of whom might have to travel far to find someone else like themselves, yet who are united as a community through GCN. The website's various forums provide ample opportunities for individuals to find their own niche, and local gatherings take the sense of community fostered online one step farther, into the real world, where GCN can reach out not only to the GLBT community but also to the larger Christian community.

Words cannot describe what GCN has done for me and for others. GCN has saved lives and given hope to people and gay youth who thought their lives were absolutely hopeless. GCN serves a vital need in bridging the huge gap between the gay community and the church, and seeing lives transformed through Christ never gets old!

GCN is a great community of amazing christians that really helped me find my own in 2001. I now am a supporter through my donation matching program at work.

I think that GCN is a great organization because it provides people who have been denied by the general Christian population with access to community and fellowship. With so many churches teaching that it's a sin to be gay, and/or that a person cannot be gay and Christian, this community can and has been a lifeline to so many people. Thank God for that.

Jesus saves lifes, but this ministry connects many back to Christ. So many in the gay community have left the church. I'm so thankful for the friends I've met on GCN. People are genuine, honest, and real with their lives. I'm glad GCN has helped me know how to be a gay Christian.
