Mission: The Gay Christian Network (GCN) is the preeminent interdenominational organization supporting LGBT Christians and those who love them. GCN provides resources and support to help individuals reconcile their faith and sexuality, builds interconnected networks of supportive Christian communities, and works with families, friends, and churches to create respectful dialogue on sexual orientation issues. GCN is best known for its moderated online "safe space" community, where over 13,000 people offer one another support, prayer, fellowship, and understanding in an affirming faith-based environment. This crucial support outlet is available to anyone in the world with an internet connection and regularly saves the lives of teens and adults alike. GCN's weekly podcast, YouTube video series, and Bible study materials educate and inspire gay and straight Christians around the world, while the organization's annual conference, welcoming church network, and local groups provide important face-to-face opportunities for worship, support, and community. GCN's groundbreaking new documentary, Through My Eyes, chronicles the interactions of conservative churches and gay Christian youth and is already changing hearts and minds in the church in a profound way to promote the full support of LGBT people.

GCN is an organization which bridges the gap between gay people and Christians. We have the unenviable position of standing in between worlds as we attempt to grow in our understanding of ourselves and God. Every day more and more people become a part of this family as we all attempt to reach for the unconscious goal of every human; to be loved as God made us.

GCN was there for me when I was trying to reconcile my faith and sexuality and felt there was no place to turn. I've since met my partner through it and made some wonderful friends and a great support network. I stick around to give back to those who come after who find themselves where I was 6 years ago. There's still a great need for this kind of organization.

I became part of the Gay Christian Network after I had mostly come to terms with my faith and sexuality, a struggle to which most of their resources are devoted. It has been incredibly encouraging, nonetheless, for me to find a community of other gay Christians, and I have even met my partner through the site.

I treasure the friendships that I have formed on GCN, however, and the site will always have value if for no other reason than providing those.

Giving Hope and a Natural atmosphere of Acceptance is the most powerful surroundings for any support group. There are minorities within all groups of minorities and all are being accepted and supported in GCN, not all board members and leaders of a network can pull this off like they have done and are committed to continue.

GCN has had my support for a long time, just after I attended their first annual conference gathering in Dallas. Never had I seen this world in such a new light as during the days of that conference, social settings and prayer.

GCN is truly an oasis, a haven for those struggling to reconcile sexual orientation and Christian faith. As one who is gay and married to a
straight spouse, and has only in recent years come to be OK with my orientation, I've been greatly blessed by the safe space that GCN has created for those on a journey of figuring out how to integrate
'gay' and 'Christian' in their lives, regardless of where they are in that process. There is much encouragement and support to be found here,
and a spirit of grace and humility is clearly evident in the midst of a wide diversity of experiences and perspectives.

GCN is a great resource for Christians, like me, who also happen to be gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender or those who support their GLBT family and friends. Stumbling upon GCN after a Google search nearly 3 years ago, I have become a more active member of the organization and in addition to being better able to reconcile myself and my faith, I have seen it work for others as well.

GCN is doing important work, critical.
So many faith-filled people are out there needing to hear that God DOES love them despite their orientation. He loves ALL of His created beings. I was recently blessed by attending the annual conference. It was wonderful being around people who don't feel that being LGBT and being a Believer in Jesus Christ are mutually exclusive. The organization welcomes varied views and promotes dialogue among people with views that differ.
This organization is a lifeline for many.

Through GCN I've found friends and community after years of feeling isolated and alone. First, I developed relationships online, and now that has moved to meeting people in person and becoming true friends.

GCN is a safe place for people to grow!
