Mission: The Gay Christian Network (GCN) is the preeminent interdenominational organization supporting LGBT Christians and those who love them. GCN provides resources and support to help individuals reconcile their faith and sexuality, builds interconnected networks of supportive Christian communities, and works with families, friends, and churches to create respectful dialogue on sexual orientation issues. GCN is best known for its moderated online "safe space" community, where over 13,000 people offer one another support, prayer, fellowship, and understanding in an affirming faith-based environment. This crucial support outlet is available to anyone in the world with an internet connection and regularly saves the lives of teens and adults alike. GCN's weekly podcast, YouTube video series, and Bible study materials educate and inspire gay and straight Christians around the world, while the organization's annual conference, welcoming church network, and local groups provide important face-to-face opportunities for worship, support, and community. GCN's groundbreaking new documentary, Through My Eyes, chronicles the interactions of conservative churches and gay Christian youth and is already changing hearts and minds in the church in a profound way to promote the full support of LGBT people.

The Gay Christian Network is a beacon of light and hope for many gay/lesbian/bisexual Christians who are seeking either to reconcile their faith with their sexual orientation and/or who are seeking to deepen their relationship with Christ as same-sex oriented Christians. The Gay Christian Network, through its website, forum for sharing and conferences, reaches out to huge numbers of individuals living in remote as well as urbanised locations. It does so while upholding the integrity of the Gospel message. I thank God for the GCN and support its mission to bring Christ closer to many people who would not otherwise draw near to Him. Additionally, the GCN reaches out to the heterosexual Christian community in order to promote understanding and compassion between both groups. This is also a vital mission as we are all God's children whom He loves without favour.

I am a bisexual man. This group has helped me to reconcile my sexuality with my faith without having to deny either. They have accepted me for who I am.

GCN is a wonderful resource for gay Christians. I especially appreciate the DVD that they put out with young people's moving testimonies. This is great to share with friends and loved ones. I am looking forward to getting to know more about GCN and to get involved when I move to the Raleigh area soon!

I felt alone in my sexuality and my faith. I couldn't tell people at church that I was gay and I couldn't tell gay friends that I was a Christian--for fear of being ostrasized from both communities. GCN has given me the courage to come out as a lesbian at church and to come out as a Christian to my gay friends. Both experiences have been fulfilling and my two communities are becoming one. Some of my curch friends have met some of my gay friends and we all do things together. It is amazing!

GCN provided the resources I needed to wrestle with Scripture in relation to homosexuality. Because of this online resources, I was able to finally draw the conclusion that being gay and Christian was okay. If I had not found GCN, I could very well still be closeted and hating myself.

Since realizing that I'm gay and come from a Christian background, I had a lot of questions and not many answers. A friend told me about GCN so I went online. I found out immediately that I'm not alone. I enjoy Justin's videos and the topics and discussion forums. Because of GCN, gay Christians don't have to feel alone. We're here for each other. Thank you GCN.

GCN was there when I needed them! I had questions that they were able to answer and literally saved my life. Having been an interim pastor and worship leader, coming out cost me my job and friends. But now Ive been able to get through that and point other people to the right answers when they need them as well. The videos are particularly helpful. They are short, sweet, and easy to watch to somebody that needs quick answers.
Thank you so much!

So many gay Christians have a unique experience and feel isolated and alone. GCN helps folks connect, share experiences, and tell their life stories in ways that are redemptive and healthy.

This site has not only helped me work through some issues and self-hate, but opened me to a world outside my closed community. I feel connected with these people, and I've been opened up to my religion to make it that much stronger. This site needs some better forum tools, but its definitely on its way.

GCN is a great resource because the community for Christians who happen to be gay is very small and spread out, along with being 'in the closet' as well. The internet is a safe place for many people to discuss this issue which they may not be able to do in other venues. GCN's assistance in providing an educational resource is a great help to the cause of full inclusion for homosexuals in the church.

I have gained some life long friendships through GCN, because of their pain knowing and relating to my own pain ... we've been able to laugh, to cry, to share, to listen. Its been the only place that I've felt safe enough to go ask for prayer and to pray.

It has brought me to the place of finding the courage to stop being paralized by fear and I told my folks and those around me that I was gay? I had lived in fear agony for years that it dehabilitated me.

Many have been there through some of the toughest periods of my life and I can't thank anyone enough for my online family.

What GCN does best is allow people who are struggling with faith, or are refugees from a strict Christian Evangelical background a place to connect much like that of a bulletin board system.

I have found that many people who thrive on GCN have little or no contact with other Gay people, or live in an area in which there is little support, or have no interest in looking at alternative ways to connect with a wider aspect of GLBT Christianity. In this role as a save harbor, GCN fulfills its obligation.

For anyone who is out, and active in parish life, GCN can be a bit limiting as the general membership tends to be somewhat insular, with the membership preference to keep save within the confines of the bulletin board over and above examining life in the real world. This may be one reason why GCN prefers to continue a running debate surrounding celibate and non-celibate Christian living. By focusing a group on individual choices, there is no risk in taking chances to literally work to bring about Christ's kingdom of God.

Gay Christian Network is a great ministry. It is place for like minded people to come together and find fellowship that in many places they simple wouldn't get the support or encouragement. GCN is a great place I have been a member for about 3 years and it has been a blessing...

The GNC is an organization which provides, quite literally, life giving/life saving support to LGBTQ people who are Christian and the families who love them.

GCN has some of the best resources on the subject being gay and Christian that I've ever seen. I've watched, and shared with many others, their great video "Through My Eyes."
GCN is a stream in the desert.

GCN has been a great source of encouragement for me for many years, especially in this last year in which I lost my dad to cancer. The fellowship I have experienced at GCN has been an enormous comfort, and I know that GCN has been the same for many LGBT Christians, many of whom have been rejected by their own faith communities and even by family members and friends.

GCN is unique. Not only does it promote healthy dialogue on issues of Christian faith, but you'd be hard-pressed to find any other site on the web that supports LGBT Christians on two different sides of the great debate: Should LGBT Christians live celibate lives or can they be part of same-sex relationships in the same way as the majority of Christian heterosexuals would engage in heterosexual relationships? Many faith communities are not willing to engage in open dialogue on the matter. Because GCN is, LGBT Christians have a place to turn - for understanding, respect, welcome, prayer and fellowship.

As a member of GCN, I feel like the stigma of being gay has fallen. I feel like a normal guy, just a normal guy on a journey of faith.

I feel in my heart that GCN is part of big, big things: it's part of the emerging Church; it's part of the coming of the Kingdom.

I found GCN on the Internet through a Google search. It is a high quality non-profit that uses donations wisely for their mission. They are accepting of all GLBT and their families. They have created a safe place for gay Christians and their families. They share the love of God to all who pass through their site.
