My husband and I are mentoring two wonderful high school students. Both are very capable, but it is meaningful to them and to us to spend time together, discussing college options, jobs, talking with them about their subjects and grades, and helping by working with school counselors if needed. They know they have someone to come to with questions, concerns, and guidance. We have been able to discuss personal issues about family and friends, and have just been there to listen. Financially, this program is a huge help for both of them in terms of their educational futures. This opportunity is an amazing gift for us and we hope really beneficial for them. This is a wonderful charity that supports the Lee County Florida Public School District--- provding beneifts to teachers and children that go farbeyond what the School Board itselfcould provide. For the record I have been both a volunteer and amonetary donor to the organization. I am nor have not been in the past an employee, trustee, officer or director of the Foundation.
