Nonprofit Overview

Causes: Animal Protection & Welfare, Animals, Veterinary Services

Mission: The Feral Cat Coalition of Oregon is a trap-neuter-return (TNR) program for feral and stray cats. The goal of our program is to reduce suffering for existing feral cats and to prevent the births and suffering of future generations. Our services are targeted for feral cats who have caregivers feeding them. These caregivers trap the cats, bring them to a clinic, and return the cats to where they are being fed with a commitment to feed the cat(s) on a permanent basis.

Results: Since our inception in 1995, we have spayed/neutered over 51,000 cats!

Geographic areas served: Oregon and SW Washington

I was asked to be on the board several years ago since I had experience with animal welfare in Portland. I was absolutely amazed at what these folks can do with their budget. The amount of cats they are able to help with such a small agency is laudable. They use their volunteers well, expect a lot from the board, and run a professional, successful organization. I have since moved from Portland but have only the best things to say about FCCO. Your donations are well used.
