Mission: To provide the youth of San Diego with an opportunity to study, understand and appreciate, through education and participation, the art of ballet, and to enrich the cultural life of the community.

Direct beneficiaries per year: over 400 students weekly through our studio classes and over 600 students through our community outreach classes and workshops.

Programs: classical ballet education, affordable family performances, and community outreach programs in urban elementary schools.
SDCYB is one of the best ballet schools we've been to. The staff is always very professional in all aspects from the office administration to the programming and execution of their performance events. SDCYB is one of the few place we have come across where dancers of all ages have the opportunity to be involved and exposed to continuous dance and performance experiences. It is impressive to know that SDCYB is a non-profit organization and that many of their special event activities rely on volunteer work as well as donations. Yet, even when this is true, their level of professionalism is incredible. We love SDCYB and the people who work there.
