I've known the founder of this organization for about 9 years now. This is a fabulous organization and its founder works tirelessly to make sure the women and children have a better chance at life. Do not hesitate to donate!
The work done by Relief Inc is wonderful. The volunteers are devoted to helping those less fortunate. The leader of this organization is simply amazing her eye never leaves the prize. Giving back is her main goal!
Being a part of getting Clean Water Filters and Glasses for vision to Liberia with Phebe Fortt was a wonderful experience. Hearing the stories of how it all went over there and the people we touched with such basic needs as water and vision fills me with joy. Phebe works tirelessly. Not to mention the events done locally here in the state to support those in need here as well!
My passion is to make sure each human being I come in contact with feels important, loved and heard. Relief Inc is so inline with my passion i can't help but be a part of this mission.
I have known Phebe for over a year and am constantly amazed at the dedication, passion and love she pours into helping the people, especially the children, of war torn Liberia. I was appalled to find out that the Liberian government does everything it can to oppress its people, to keep them in such wretched conditions that their daily lives are focused on simple survival so they are not pressing for more freedom. Phebe has to push though many obstacles to get help to the people. None of us are free until all of us our free. I highly recommend supporting Relief, Inc.
My name is John Rodriguez and I am very impressed with the detail oriented fashion Relief Inc. handles their donations. When I heard about the "Pencil Project" and school campaigns they were putting together, it gave me great pleasure to donate many books my own children have outgrown. Relief Inc. has done a great job and put in many hours of hard work to insure this gets done. The Liberian children are going to benefit greatly.
My name is Ed Fitzpatrick, I am the CEO of a prominent Automobile Dealership Group in Northern California. I have been a supporter of Relief Inc. since 2005. Relief Inc. is a U.S. based grassroots 501 (3) (c) organization that helps women and children in war torn Liberia, West Africa. Our Goal is to help this targeted group to become self-sufficient a bright future. In addition to Relief Inc's International activities, Relief Inc supports local activities in Northern California by providing food, clothing, furniture, toys and various types of educational programs to needy families. I have watched Relief Inc. and their CEO Phebe Dennis-Fortt work tirelessly to help others in need, this was one of the primary reasons that compelled me to support this organization. Relief has made a difference in many lives.
I am a teacher. I donated old text books and other supplies. I was so impressed and overwhelmed by Mrs. Fort's response that I will continue to donate instead of throwing away materials from my school
I started contributing to Relief, Inc. many years ago to help children attend school. I saw the joy and concern in Phebe's face when she talked about helping the children, and felt the need to be part of such a caring organization. As Relief, Inc. grew, Phebe expanded the charity to include helping women learn skills to help them earn a living. Her passion for these women and children is quite evident to anyone who talks to her.
Money is tight right now, but I still donate to Relief, Inc. whenever I have any extra because I want to be part of an organization that helps people who need a helping hand.
I persoanally know Ron Fortt and Phebe. Their passion for helping the people in need of Liberia motivated me not only to contribute but I know work with the United Nations Infopoverty Program where i will introduced anyone that may help Relief Inc. Also when I visited their beautiful home Phebe brought my wife and I out to the garage where there was wall to wall boxes earmark for Liberia. They've turned their home into a warehaouse and leave their cars on the driveway. THe least I can do is to support them.
My heart was touched when I was introduced to Relief, Inc. The conviction and passion that the founder has for the women and children of Liberia is certainly a moving force that we can all share.
