24/7/365 Red Paw Emergency Relief Team does what no other organization in this country does - responds to help not just people affected by fires and residential disasters but the pets as well! Taking care to make sure the whole family is taken care of when disaster strikes!
A one of a kind 24/7/365 Emergency Response organization for pets and their people!
Red Paw Emergency Relief Team does amazing work rescuing animals involved in home fires and provides medical care, if needed, & foster services until the individual or family has recovered and are able to take their pet(s) back. Volunteering for them since 2012 has been an inspiring and educational experience as a Foster Mom and working the crowd at so many events and I'm so grateful for the experience. Super organization!!
I'm sure you have seen the dog paw car magnets that say "Who rescued who?"! That is how I feel about Red Paw Emergency Relief Team. I had been looking to volunteer & lucky me found Red Paw last year on Facebook & I was hooked. I have been a part of some Fire Safe Fridays distributing needed Red Cross & Red Paw fire safety info & batteries for smoke alarms & also at a few events this year representing Red Paw educating the public on the amazing work Jen Leary & her team do to aid animals after a fire or other disaster. Being a Foster Mom has been amazing and my most rewarding "job" ever, especially when the fire victim(s)/family are reunited with their pets which is the main goal of Red Paw.
I have been volunteering for Red Paw almost since it was founded by Jen Leary . The organization is amazing and it has enriched my life . It is an incredible feeling to lift up the spirits of people who have lost parts of their lives to fires and other events. We who love our pets as our children know what they mean to us . I love this organization and look forward to doing what I can into the future to help!!
Totall 100 percent commitment to helping all animals and by extension people in the City of Philadelphia!
One of the most amazing, practical, invaluable nonprofit services I've ever encountered. Unique in its mission and infinitely necessary. Run by caring, competent people who nurture their clients and their volunteers alike. When the city's first responders know to call this team, you know you have quality. YOUR donations of money and time will never be wasted when you help out Red Paw Emergency Relief Team to help pets displaced and injured in emergency situations.
I am a volunteer with them and they are a top notch organization !
I have been a RP volunteer for 9 months and have been in the transport/reunion end. The look on the families faces when they are reunited with their furry family is truly priceless and worth everything in the world.
Midnight the cat came to me after suffering burns in a fire. In spite of these injuries, Midnight never wavered from his core personality--a loving, loving kitten. Midnight would curl up
in my lap, a stranger to him, and just be a laid back cool kitten. I've fostered a number of fire animals, Midnight was my second one to be a "Nurse Betty". It 's very hard to say good bye to these animal visitors, buy the joyous reunion with their owners helps greatly to look forward to the next visitor. Red Paw brings the dog/cat to my door, picks them up, supplies they with food and medicine and litter. Red Paw is always there a phone call away if I need help! This is why I choose to volunteer with our dear RED PAW!!!!! RED PAW rescues our animal loved ones from fires/collasped bldgs----THANK YOU !!!
Red Paw is an amazing organization. There is nothing out there like this. I couldn't be more proud to volunteer for them. Being able to foster an animal that was in a home disaster, giving them the love that their family is unable to while they are recovering is such a rewarding feeling. RP is not only helping the animals, but the people too.
When you are place in a position to have to decide what to do with your pets after a disaster is stressful and RP helps that that one thing off their plate. Pets are family and Red Paw understands that.
No one thinks about that and not many are truly prepared for disasters. I am proud to be able to be able to be on part of a team that allows me to go out and give awareness to fire safety and pet preparedness... Knowledge is powerful.
I should mention the true reward is during reunions of the pets with their people... There is nothing more amazing and touching then seeing the joy in both the animals and peoples faces when they get to be together again!
Such a good job to Jen for founding RP and to all the amazing volunteers that help them keep their mission alive!
As a volunteer I have watched Red Paw grow from inception. They work 24/7 to ensure that ALL animals are cared for after disaster. I couldn't be more proud to be a volunteer and donor.
I see all their stories on facebook, all the times they go out in the middle of a cold night to be there. Red Paw is amazing.
Before Hearing about red paw, I worried about what would happen if my house ever caught fire or had another emergency and I had nowhere for my fur babies to go! When I heard about red paw i instantly wanted to volunteer. This organization helps hundreds of families who need to temporarily home their fur babies in times of disaster. They care for the communities they help and they do it for no reason but to help others. Truly the greatest non profit I've seen! It's not just a typical volunteer organization to help animals, it saves them when some people have no other options, and it gives families peace of mind! Truly a great group of people.
I have been a volunteer for Red Paw for about six months. As a transport/reunion volunteer, I get to see first hand how appreciative people are when they're able to get their babies back home! At one reunion, the entire block was out waiting for me and the kitty to get there! I was the most popular person in town that day and they were ALL so happy that the kitty was back! I know that no one WANTS to have to use Red Paw's services, but thanks to Jen and Lori, Red Paw is going to be there whenever/wherever they're needed!
As a foster and transport volunteer I see many of the people and animals served by Red Paw. They are grateful for the service during their time of need. As a volunteer I can also speak Of the supportvolunteers get in helping Red Paw's mission. We know we are appreciated and questions or concerns that arise are answered quickly. Thank you, Red Paw!
Red paw has responded to so many emergency situations and better yet goes back to try to find pets who were spooked and hiding. Love you Red Paw!
As a volunteer for Red Paw Emergency Relief Team, I see first hand the work done by Jen Leary and her team and how amazing it truly is. To give peace of mind to families who have lost everything in a fire or disaster by taking in and taking care of their pets for them while they recover is priceless. You should see the looks of joy and relief on the family's faces when they are all reunited! There are no words! This organization is top-notch - an incredible network of volunteers all working together for one commons goal. I am proud and honored to be a part of Red Paw - such a worthy cause!
I found Red Paw relief through a post on facebook about 2 years ago. I thought wow a non profit organization saving animals in disastrous situations such as building fires and building collapses. I had to opportunity to foster a momma, Dasha and h er 4 kittens at the time were only 2 weeks old. I love fostering, I am what you call a foster failure,. I kept 2 of the kittens and I made sure the rest of the kittens went to good homes. I know they did. My friends adopted them. I have been on several events for Red Paw. They take pride in what they do. I will never forget the time when Lori met me at the cat room. She was on the phone with Jen about a kitten that was very sick. Jen was so upset you can hear it in her voice. They care about these animals, their well being and what happens when the family cannot provide for the fur babies any longer. the other night I messaged Red Paw to see if they have heard about the fire in my area, they were already responding. Red Paw is a great organization and I am happy that I am a part of it. I just recently adopted another foster failure.... Red Paw power.. :)

Is like life with out animals in this world!
I volunteer with Red Paw at the leadership level and want to highlight the integrity of this organizations hierarchy. As a longtime participant in charity missions I have seen more than my fair share of groups and individuals who only talk the talk with no real service to the animals or communities they claim to be supporting. Not so with Red Paw (or any of the affiliate groups they have formed solid relationships with). Anyone looking for a great charity to support or volunteer with should feel confident their interests will be safe with Red Paw. This group isn't about taking advantage of anyone's generosity or promoting some individual's personal agenda - nothing sketchy is tolerated. Red Paw has created and maintains a high level of integrity while keeping its mission simple -- just a great commitment to a great mission -- helping displaced animals get reunited with their families after life-changing crises.
I became interested in Red Paw through Facebook and signed on as a cat mate volunteer in March. Since I've been volunteering with them I've met some awesome people and pets. Fostering one of their more difficult cats and seeing her get adopted was one of the highlights of my year and it couldn't have happened without Red Paw and their support. The people in the organization are caring and committed and the organization fills a role that's desperately needed. I'm proud to be a Red Paw volunteer!
I first heard of Red Paw through a friend over a year ago. My beloved 15 year old cat passed away and I after a couple months decided to adopt. I researched many animal shelters when I heard of Red Paw. I thought wow what a wonderful organization. They stood out to me beyond most of the animal shelters out there so I filled out an adoption application and began following Red Paw and what they do. I adopted brother and sister kittens that were rescued from a house fire and than surrendered to Red Paw. I fell in love with my new babies and what Red Paw does for our fur babies. They are a wonderful organization, Jen and Lori the founders are wonderful compassionate women who really care for animals , I have seen this first hand because I have become a Red Paw Volunteer. The work they do is amazing, their compassion has no boundries. Thank God for Red Paw !
I heard about Red Paw about a year ago and started volunteering shortly after that. I admire the work that they do to reunite families after fires have devastated their homes. They work extremely hard to get fosters and adopters (if needed) for the animals that are surrendered to them. They are such a great organization!
