Rebuilding Together North Texas is an amazing charity, helping with home repairs for those that need it and can’t afford it.
I had the pleasure of working with Rebuilding Together North Texas, and I can’t speak highly enough of their dedication and impact. From the very beginning, their team exhibited exceptional professionalism and genuine compassion. They work hard to make homes in our community safer and more comfortable.
Their commitment to quality were evident in every aspect of the project. The volunteers and staff were incredibly skilled. Beyond the technical work, their kindness and respect for the cause made the entire process smooth and uplifting.
Rebuilding Together North Texas is a beacon of hope and positive change in the Dallas community. Their efforts not only improve homes but also enhance lives. They are a remarkable team making a profound difference—thank you, Rebuilding Together North Texas!
Pause for a moment and think about those less fortunate than many of us. Those folks with disabilities, health & financial issues and other life impediments that prevent them from being able to take care of their homes and looking for help in the maintenance of those homes. Rebuilding Together North Texas (RTNT), founded in 2001 by Bob Moisan, is a non-profit organization whose sole purpose is addressing these needs. Since it's inception, as a former board member, house captain and overall volunteer I have seen countless homeowners benefit from the dedication and hard work of this vital group. One homeowner in particular, I believe, expressed the feelings of many. Her name is Hattie and many years ago I was a house captain for her home. Among the many things we updated/repaired to Hattie's bathroom and kitchen and after painting the whole interior was an old glass door knob to her bathroom that had fallen off, long lost, and replaced with a large nail. I was fortunate enough to find a replacement with the same glass knob. When the project was complete and after all of the improvements we did to Hattie's home the one thing she appreciated the most was that door knob - "I don't have to turn that rusty nail anymore". This is the reason I continue (God willing) to donate my time (and some treasure) to Rebuilding Together North Texas. As Winston Churchill said - "We make a living by what we do, but we make a life by what we give". I hope you will consider a donation of your time, talent or treasure to this much needed organization.

I've had the privilege of volunteering with Rebuilding Together, and it's been an incredibly rewarding experience. Their well-organized projects, dedicated staff, and passionate volunteers make every effort feel like a meaningful contribution to creating stronger and more vibrant neighborhoods.
I have had the privilege of volunteering with this organization. They are organized and driven by their cause. They continuously give back to the community through various projects including hazardous home, school, and playground repairs and remodels.
Top notch experience from start to finish. Arrived a little prior to start time and was greeted with smiling faces, hot coffee and pastries. The event was very well organized. After briefly chatting with other volunteers, we separated into groups based on our strengths and got straight to work building a garden for the youth group at the church. Look forward to lending a hand in any future events and would definitely recommend donating your time with this organization!
We had a great volunteering experience. It was well organized, we made satisfying progress, and it was nice to be able to get to know the homeowner.
Rebuilding Together really cares about our community, so glad to have them in my area to support families here in NTX. Great non profit!
Wonderful non profit that helps communities become stronger. I support Rebuilding Together North Texas.
It was truly a pleasure to assist this great organization and help this family with house repairs. This organization cares for these families and makes every effort to help and do a great job with fixes. It warms your heart to participate and be part of a positive team. To hear the homeowner express her gratitude is the reward.
I loved working as a team with my company and seeing work we all did make a huge difference in the homes appearance. It was the first time painting the exterior of a home and working and getting know other colleagues at the time was so much fun and I look forward to doing it again someday. Most importantly feeling apart of contributing to the community was very rewarding for me! Rushmore rocks!!
Last June i had the good fortune to volunteer with RTNT. My company RLMS "Paint the Town" event was by far one of the most rewarding volunteer activities I have been apart of. To help improve an elderly person's home is such a thoughtful way of giving back. Everything was well organized and the volunteers were eager and happy to help. I look forward to doing this again once COVID-19 is behind us.
I was able to join a group of my coworkers and paint the exterior of a house in Dallas last summer. The job was well organized, we had a great time with each other, and there were enough of us that we had our portion of the work done by lunch time. I would definitely participate again given the opportunity!
Last Summer I had the opportunity to volunteer with RTNT. I participated in painting a home for a Dallas homeowner and it was a humbling and rewarding experience. Everything was well organized and it was great to see everyone working together to get the job done no matter how hot it was that day. Looking forward to participating in another one of these events in the future.
I had the opportunity to participate in painting a home for a local Dallas homeowner. The experience was humbling and end result provided so much joy to the owner. The RTNT team has everything well organized and assisted our group with any needs. I hope to participate in another event in the future.
I volunteered with RTNT last summer and it was an incredible experience. A small team of us went out to a family in Dallas and repaired their home through various projects. It was amazing to see what a team could do to change a family's life. I'm excited to see what opportunities come in the future.
This volunteer (painting a house for an elderly woman) opportunity was the single most enjoyable time I have ever had. It didn't matter that it was hot outside, or that some of us were scared to climb the ladder to paint the tallest parts of the home. What we all witnessed was people from all departments, all walks of life come together put our differences aside to assist someone (which we didn't know until the very end when all the work was complete who we were helping) with something they couldn't physically take care of themselves. As a community it is easy sometimes to forget the elderly or disabled neighbors we have, since the traditional greeting of new neighbors and keeping those relationships is a thing of the past.
However, when you volunteer on a task like this one it really hits home. I was so grateful to be apart of and will continue to volunteer on events like this. It was eye opening, humbling, and brought me much pride to be part of. Thank you I truly hope that we keep this volunteer opportunity open forever.
RTNT is an amazing nonprofit helping people in the community. My experience was painting an entire home for a very sweet lady! The smile on her face when we were done was so gratifying. I became involved through my job and the comradery this built between coworkers was awesome. Looking forward to our next opportunity.
The experience working with these guys were unbelievable great organization look forward to working with them again in the future. keep up the good work and deeds big fan of you guys work in the community.

I had the pleasure of participating in an event in Dallas, TX that resulted in a newly painted home for a family. It was a great experience with an organized staff who had the ultimate goal of putting smiles on the homeowner's faces. I would love to participate in another event in the near future!
Definitely a place where they can use anyone who is willing. No experience required, other than an open mind and heart and willing to assist. This organization has it down. They provide head volunteers to manage the job and then everyone else just falls in line to help. Its pretty simple. The best part is that you become a part of something special, whether it's painting someone's house that is disabled, or making repairs because a less fortunate person could afford to do so. No matter what, you are important here. Whether you have little time to give, or a big heart to donate, it does not go un-noticed. Anytime there is a need and I am available, this is one of my favorite places to donate my time.
I love giving my volunteer time to RTNT! Their process ensures we are helping the right folks and they organize well before I get there to make sure my time is well utilitzed.
I volunteered with Rebuilding Together at a school in Dallas. It was very organized and I wonderful experience to give back to the community.
RT North Texas has been one of the most rewarding partnerships I have ever had. The ability to help those in need in a fun and engaging way is perfect for our corporate community outreach projects.
I have volunteered with Rebuilding Together Greater Dallas for the past 4 years. Their mission has always been to help Veterans, Seniors, and the Disabled with housing repairs to make their lives easier. In the past year, they have broadened their focus to include Community Revitalization. There have been several projects at elementary schools in low income areas and with yard clean-up, tree trimming, and painting house numbers on curbs for entire streets in low income areas. The friendly, caring staff and board members are very active in all of the projects along side the groups of volunteers. I love volunteering with this group.
A non-profit with heart and soul that makes a huge difference in the lives for whom it serves and for the volunteers who participate. I have volunteered for more than 10 events and continue to be renewed each time with a sense of pride, humility and blessing.
I first got involved with Rebuilding Together Greater Dallas several years ago when a relative told me about the great work that Rebuilding Together Greater Dallas was doing and invited me to volunteer at an upcoming project. I was blown away by how committed the RTGD team and volunteers were to helping some of the most impoverished and vulnerable members of our community. We served impoverished disabled seniors, some of whom were veterans. They lived in some of the worst housing conditions I have ever seen, but the Rebuilding Together Greater Dallas team and volunteers completely remodeled these houses restoring safety and dignity to their owners. I was on the team that built a new fence, and we were taught how to do all relevant tasks. I felt that our work was meaningful, and even though I didn't have so much experience with this type of home repair, the Rebuilding Together team taught us and supervised us and made my volunteering experience meaningful and substantive. If you are looking for a Dallas-area non-profit to volunteer at, this is the one! 10/10
The first time I went to a Rebuilding Together event, I was blown away by how organized everything was, the heart of the volunteers to help the homeowners with home repair, and the impact that was made on the community. I've stayed involved to be part of the movement to help people age in place.
I've participated in many volunteer events with Rebuilding Together Greater Dallas. They have done such great work for less-fortunate individuals, families, and schools. A lot of their projects are for the elderly and disabled (often veterans) with homes in desperate need of repair (holes in the floor, broken appliances such as refrigerators or even toilets, and more) or improvements on handicap accessibility so that the occupants/clients can safely get in an out of the house (especially in case of a fire), use the restroom, and do other necessary daily activities. Rebuilding Together's work has significantly improved the lives of many, and every year they are able to work on more projects than the year, further improving the lives of many more disadvantaged people in the greater Dallas area.
I walked up to the tent on a volunteer build day, not really sure what to expect. I brought a pair of work gloves with me and was greeted by a friendly group of volunteers who got me checked in, offered some coffee and donuts, and told me of my team assignment for the day. We quickly had a safety meeting, which reminded me to be on the lookout for poison ivy! I worked on a house both inside and outside. Our house captain had a group clearing the yard of overgrown vegetation and debris, while another group was removing carpet and vinyl flooring inside. Everything was organized, all the materials we needed were at the house, there were drinks and snacks available, and it was great to meet the homeowner. She was so sweet and frail in her wheelchair and her appreciation just made the day so rewarding. I would definitely volunteer with this group again... and bring my friends also. I appreciate that they gave me a t-shirt and I'm proud to wear it and tell people about Rebuilding Together.
