She saved my life.
At the beginning of December my kitty "Fanci" and I lost our beloved son and brother. Papito, my 14 year old shepherd mix. We both went into depression and she and I would cry every day. 2 weeks after our loss, I went to the Peggy Adams Rescue League. I met Sky and she found us the most wonderful pup, Rosie "Elsa". I was not looking for a young pup but could not risk the health, happiness, and safety of my kitty. She was our blessing.
I am happy to say that we are truly blessed and will come back to visit whenever possible.
I adopted four month old Teddy my orange tabby. He made friends with my four dogs the night he came home. He is a pretty incredible kitten. I have always known Peggy Adams is special since I took my kids there to have their pet rat , iguana, and parakeet blessed , I think it was on all Saints Day 25 years ago. I knew when I was ready to adopt a cat again, I would come here. He is just so special. Georgina
A huge thank you to Jan at Peggy Adams! We had been trying to adopt a miniature schnauzer mix for some time and she helped us find the sweetest puppy! We do not live near the shelter so Jan and the staff went the extra mile to accommodate our needs in picking up our puppy. We were so pleased how well our dog was cared for while in the care of Peggy Adams, and they were incredibly helpful in getting us the information needed of how to care for her (we're first time dog owners). This is a fantastic place to adopt a pet!
My husband and I were in on Saturday and adopted a beautiful little blonde named Jada. As soon as we saw her sweet face, we fell in love. She is obviously still adjusting to our schedule, but she is making herself right at home. We are going to work on bringing her out of her shell and her separation anxiety issues. We are confident that through love and patience that she will eventually see that our home is her home forever. Here are a few snapshots of her in her new home.
Thank you so much for allowing us to become her puppy parents. She is a welcomed addition to our little family. Your staff was so wonderful in helping us to understand our little girl's past and needs for the future. I am so thankful that you have full time behaviorists in the event that we need additional help in acclimating Jada's fur-brother to the pack life.
I was mourning the loss of my Cavalier recently and fell into a depression.. ..One day while getting supplies for the pool my daughter said "We're going to the shelter" The shelter did not have any dogs we were interested in so she took me to Peggy Adams.......As we were leaving we passed a volunteer walking 3 beautiful Chihuahuas and I asked them if they had been adopted....Only 2 were leaving the one we liked best....we asked for her name and without saying anything we literally bolted for the front door and asked for forms to fill out......We met with Emily who brought in the Chihuahua who was shy and fearful.. Gabby is 1,5 years old and had a medical issue they were taking care of....So we took her home 2 days later.....Not only the care they give these animals but the connections they have build with Home Again a chip company unlike any I have dealt with before...Then the Pet insurance. They have physicians on site.....they offer free spaying and neutering of any animal that is owned in Palm Beach County. They have built a system that is 100% dedicated to the preservation of animals and keeping them healthy. My father was a dog breeder and I never thought about adopting. I am so glad I did. Gabby bonded with us immediately and after walking her twice knew exactly what her house was. She knows her name and is meeting other dogs as we walk.
Not only was Gabby lucky to find us, we feel so lucky to have found her and grateful to Peggy Adams for what that facility does for animals and for making this possible. Its staff is absolutely wonderful. Many thanks to Emily!!

I have been looking at the Peggy Adams site for many weeks to find a cat for my sister that lives on the west coast of FL. A few days before Christmas I saw kitten that reminded me of a Himalayan I had many years ago. He has one over the hearts of many in a new household, even a grandmother that was never a "cat person". His personality is very loving and as you can see he is adorable. The process at Peggy Adams when adopting him was fast and painless. I will definitely go back if I am every looking for another pet!
We adopted our beautiful black ketten from the Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League. The people there are very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. The shelter is very clean and the animals are well taken care of. The adoption process is thorough but not burdensome. The shelter provides a host of services in case there are issues after you bring the pet home. I don't think you can find a better place to adopt a pet.
Peggy Adams Animal Rescue is the nicest animal rescue facility I've ever seen - very clean, staffed by friendly, compassionate people, and the animals are well cared for and get lots of attention. The staff and volunteers really love all of the animals that are in their care.
Based on the positive reputation that this animal rescue league has in the community, I choose to adopt a senior Maltese dog from this shelter. The staff were very professional and helpful throughout the adoption process.
Its extremely reassuring to know that the animals are loved here. I greatly appreciate the dedication and services that Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League provides to the animals and community.
My husband and I had a fantastic experience when we adopted our poodle mix rescue late last year. Everyone we dealt with was so wonderful. The staff, from the reception area, the veterinarians, and all the way through the adoption process, was very professional and above all else, interested in the well-being of the animals and a good fit in their new forever home. The CEO, Rich Anderson, has a real passion for helping and supporting the less fortunate animals in our community. I don't think you would find a better organization then Peggy Adams to support. The new member of our home, Finn, fit in right away. We can't imagine not having him with us .
On August 17, 2016 my wife and I adopted Shego. At the time our German Shepard, Max, had been without a companion for three months. After his companion passed away, Max was sad and depressed. When we brought Shego home, her and Max had an initial "check each other" moment. After that was over, they started chasing each other all over the yard. Max and Shego are now "best buddies." Max is no longer sad and depressed. He loves his new "little sister."
