Pandas International does wonderful work. Working alongside the Chinese, this nonprofit truly does all they can to help save Giant Pandas. Our donations go for formula, medicine, vaccines, medical equipment, etc. to help pandas. It is good to know that all money donated goes directly to helping pandas.
I've been an avid panda fan since 1980. I visited Ling Ling and Hsing Hsing at Smithsonian's National Zoo in Washington, DC and wanted to learn all I could about panda bears. At the time, I relied on National Geographic magazines and TV shows. I knew they were in trouble and needed help to survive. When Pandas International came along, I knew we had hope. I have been a proud supporter of this organization for many years. Knowing the money I donate goes directly to the pandas means a lot. They do incredible work.
I have been supporting Pandas International for more than ten years ever since I fell madly in love with a pink hairless squealing little cub named Tai Shan. They do a excellent job in educating people about Giant Pandas and why we need to make sure they survive into the future. PI provides much needed services like vaccines and formula for newborns and works with the Chinese in doing whatever is needed to help. Everyone at PI is so dedicated to Giant Pandas and and know they pure joy they bring. The world needs more happy and Giant Pandas equal happy.
We've supported Pandas International for several years. The staff and Board are dedicated to helping Giant Pandas which are facing extinction in the wild. PI supports equipment, science, education, and general operating costs for Panda centers in China. Every year special collections are taken to assist with things like providing baby formula, for special equipment (i.e. incubators), and to encourage bamboo growth. When the WuLong panda center was destroyed by earthquakes, mudslides and flooding, PI was there to help move the pandas, help the staff and find new opportunities to continue the work so pandas can survive.
Pandas International is totally focused on getting support such as baby formula, vaccines, and medical equipment, via donations, to the giant pandas and their conservators--not only in China, but in breeding programs around the world.
Pandas International is the most effective grassroots organization I've ever seen! They work tirelessly to assess not only the long-term needs for conserving the giant panda, but also the short-term needs including emergencies. With firmly established relationships with researchers and caregivers in China (and throughout the world), Pandas International supports the care, breeding, reintroduction, and rescue of pandas, along with habitat conservation.
Just read the monthly newsletter and so pleased with how they contribute to the health and welfare of such an endangered animal. The Executive Director always pays her own way when traveling to China to take important medical items and check on various panda reserves. And children adore raising money to donate towards the care of such a cute bear and learning about it.
For nearly 8 years I've had the opportunity to raise not only funds but increase the level of care for endangered pandas and also the level of equipment and training needed for their healthy survival. A major
We have been involved with supporting Pandas Inter. for many years. We have been impressed by the following things. First, the targeted support for Panda recovery and breeding is quite extraordinary. From incubators to baby formula. Second, the quick response to provide immediate support for the center and its staff who were impacted by the earthquake. Third, the development of strong trust and working relationships with the Chinese government - not an easy government to work with. And, finally, the superb public education program that Pandas provides. All combine to make Pandas our number one nonprofit to provide resources and support. Dick and Peg Brown, Colorado
I'm always amazed at how dedicated Pandas International is to their work and I appetite knowing that my donations actually go towards Pandas. Great organization.
Have always loved all type of bears and in 2005 I totally fell in love with Tai Shan;the Giant Panda cub born in DC. Through my love of Tai Shan I found many other people of like mind and found Pandas International. Suzanne, Andrea and the entire staff are relentless where it comes to saving the Giant Panda and their habitit. From the re-planting of trees and bamboo, formula for the cubbies, medicine, equipment etc etc etc thru fund raising. Through PI's efforts in bringing the Giant Panda's home back to them, also brings back the home to those who share bamboo forest for example the Red Panda, the Floral, the Golden Lion Taminan.
There is no way to put into words the selfless efforts that PI puts forth for the Giant Pandas.
As a donor, fund raiser and what I consider a colleague - there is no greater passion than that of PI.
They have enlightened the world about the bears, which is China's National Symbol. PI has enriched the Pandas like no other organization has. My deep established relationship will bring many more years of fund raising and working together.
I have been fundraising with Pandas International for several years. They are nothing short of amazing! They have done an incredible amount of tireless work for the pandas, giving of their own free time and finances. My fundraising proceeds are guaranteed to go the pandas in China, unlike the zoo's. The PI staff continuously goes over and above on a daily basis. Not only for the pandas, but also for the donors. I look forward to many more years of working together with them.
Having been associated with Pandas International for the past few years, we couldn't find a better non-profit organization who is 100% dedicated to the preservation of this remarkable species. They have always been quick to respond to any crisis. We appreciate all the numerous things you do and will continue to support all your efforts.

This is my ninth year as a giant panda adopter through Pandas International. After adopting Feng Yi in 2006, I adopted two other pandas, also through PI - Gong Zhu in 2008 and Gong Gong, Feng Yi's son, in 2013.
Through PI, I've also volunteered at both Wolong and Bifengxia, beginning in 2007. I've worked with the keepers at both bases, and saw for myself the dedication of the keepers and the vets.
I've also attended the annual Hug My Baby gathering since 2010 and met Suzanne and her team - regular people who are highly dedicated and hardworking, not just names at the end of regular email messages from PI.
I am proud to be an adopter and volunteer through Pandas International. Keep up the good work, Suzanne, Andrea and Tanja!
I have been a donor to PI since 2008, and have since adopted 2 pandas One in 2010 and the other at the end of last year.
I have been to "Hug my baby" twice and met with Suzanna and other members of her team. They were always helpful, fun and passionate about pandas. The officials from CCRCGP were highly appreciative of what Pandas International did for them.
I'm proud to be an adopter and donor with Pandas International.
I would give it zero stars if that was possible. I would like to retract the comments I made in 2012. At that time, I had only heard about the organization.
Since that time, I have donated to adopt a panda and had interaction with PI. They have lied to me, and I can show emails. At the last Hug My Baby event,. Suzanne and her VIP possee even stayed at a different hotel than the rest of us. What kind of person does that when they are fund raising?
Shaking my head. Don't get me started about the distemper vaccines.
We are very sorry this is how you feel about our organization. We strive to have good relations with all our donors. Our director chose to stay at a different hotel, as she pays all her own expenses, instead of using limited resources vital to saving the giant panda. Regarding the distemper vaccines, the vaccine is a special recombinant vaccine which was not available from the manufacture for all of 2014, but as soon as it was made available in 2015, Pandas International sent 600 doses to various panda centers in China.
Suzanne and Pandas International has done so much to help giant panda conservation. The money donated is used to assist giant panda conservation in China as well as educate the public.
This remarkable group works hard to preserve the panda in a natural habitat. In our world we need to have all the effort we can put forth to maintain a world our grandchildren can enjoy and hold close. Without efforts like Panda International it would be a lost cause.
Pandas International (PI) made it easy for me to adopt my very own panda baby who is now in Belgium making new friends and will give birth to and raise cubs. PI also supports supplemental formula and equipment purchases for the Wolong Panda Center and its satellite station at Bifengxia in Sichuan China. Additionally they are now helping sponsor the planting of bamboo corridors to support the ability of pandas to move to new areas to mate and contribute to genetic diversity. My contributions have supported all of these initiatives. Suzanne Braden and her small staff have performed miracles with limited resources and made major contributions to the continuing survival of an iconic species -- the Giant Panda.
Their Pennies for Panda program is a great way for young children to give to something! It's an educational program that not only teaches them about the Pandas, but teaching a child to give is something we should have learned at a young age.
