We are strong supporters of Pandas International for their dedicated work towards helping the Giant Pandas. They have been helping fund the Pandas in China on medical, education and improving their lifestyle and also provide medical education for the staff on Pandas being. I highly recommend Pandas International on their mission towards the Giant Pandas.
I had been involve with this organization and they had done a tremendous job of the awareness of the Pandas situation. The organization raises funds to save the panadas and help with the reserve in China and also working to make sure that people understand the Pandas can be extinct if nothing is being done. A great foundation for helping the Pandas. I will highly recommend this organization.
I have been supporting Pandas International since 2005 and a board member since 2011.
Pandas International leadership is passionate about the conservation and propagation of the giant panda. All monies raised are carefully spent on spreading awareness, planting bamboo, medical supplies, medicine and medical staff training.
They are a sincere dedicated charity worthy of supporting whose work truly makes a difference.
I found Suzanne Braden’s passion and commitment towards conservation of the giant panda inspiring….so inspiring I wanted to make an immediate difference and volunteered to serve on the Board of Directors.
I proudly serve on the board of directors and look forward to continued support of the P/I mission. From my experience I first hand see how Pandas International puts all donations to effective use supporting giant panda conservation.
I found that helping make decisions on how we support the pandas both directly and indirectly truly inspiring. I’ve been to China twice to volunteer at Bifengxia Panda Reserve and am looking forward to my next visit. I find that caring for the pandas, hand carrying supplies to the reserve and helping the reserve staff fulfilling….I’ve adopted a cub and will continue to support her over the coming years.
I have been on the board of Pandas International since 2002 and I can tell you the director Suzanne Braden goes above and beyond the call of Director for a board. She devotes her time and resources to ensuring that the adorable bear the world so loves continues to thrive. It is a true honor to be apart of a non-profit that really does what it says and as time has shown every donation and all your support can and does make a difference to the panda population-yes, improved, but still critically low populations. Please give generously and as often as you can share our mission.
As with all efforts-we work hard-but never hard enough when time is so precious and an animal as unique and special as the panda is so limited...therefore I am honored to still be a part of Pandas International, an organization that gives, gives and gives to ensure this amazing animal does not become extinct. The amount of time and energy Andrea and Suzanne who are the backbone of Pandas International put in have made a difference in the pandas' future so that the next generation of humans will get to enjoy the pandas adorability factor and very special part in our precious ecosystem. As always, all support, time and money are valuable to continuing the efforts and ensuring the future of the panda so thank you all who so generously give!
This group is the 'little engine that could'. Raising money for vaccines, transporting vital medical equipment to the preserves, creating awareness of the plight of the pandas -- all are a critical part of what they do. PI is at the forefront of care and support for the pandas working hand in hand with the Chinese to preserve the pandas
I have been supporting Pandas International (PI) for over 10 years as a volunteer, donor and adopter (I am the proud adopter of two Giant Pandas) and now a board member. I could never have imagined how deeply passionate I would become about conserving and preserving these magnificent bears and that passion is due in large part to PI. I have watched how this truly great non-profit has been able to accomplish so much with a staff of two people in the basement of the Director’s home and I have traveled to China seven times with PI and their Director, Suzanne Braden, witnessing firsthand what PI does and how “our” donations are put to work. Each trip has been truly memorable, humbling, exciting and always an adventure. But most importantly, each trip has afforded me the chance to watch the progress being made to help conserve Giant Pandas through a long lasting partnership between the China Conservation and Research Center for Giant Pandas and PI. There is a trust and a mutual repect that is awe inspiring. And I have met Chinese doctors, scientists, and keepers who could not be more grateful for or humbled by all that PI does to support their efforts to constantly strive to learn more about how to help giant pandas now and in the future.
From all that I have seen and heard and from all the people I have met, I continue to highly recommend this truly great non-profit to anyone interested in supporting our beloved Giant Pandas. Pandas International gives 100% to every project they undertake and the “return on investment” from every donation is priceless. Many thanks to PI for all of their hard work and dedication and for giving me the opportunity to be a part of their efforts to support our beloved Giant Panda Bears.
I fell in love with my first Giant Panda in 2005. That is when Tai Shan was born at the Smithsonian National Zoo. It was also at that time that I learned about Pandas International (PI) and I have been working with them ever since as a volunteer, donor and adopter (I am the proud adopter of two Giant Pandas). I could never have imagined how deeply passionate I would become about conserving and preserving these magnificent bears and that passion is due in large part to PI. I started out as a volunteer, helping with fundraising and providing articles of interest to help educate people about just why pandas are so critically endangered. But that wasn’t enough because I watched how this truly great non-profit was able to accomplish so much with a staff of three people in the basement of the Director’s home and I wanted to do more. Over the past nine years I have traveled to China with PI and their Director, Suzanne Braden, and I’ve seen firsthand just exactly what PI does and how “our” donations are put to work. I saw urgently needed medical equipment that had been donated as well as baby formula, medicine, computer software and so much more. And I have met Chinese doctors, scientists, and keepers who could not be more grateful or humbled by all that PI does to support their efforts to learn more about how to help giant pandas now and in the future. From all that I have seen and heard and from all the people I have met, I can highly recommend this truly great non-profit to anyone interested in supporting our beloved Giant Pandas. Pandas International gives 100% to every project they undertake and the “return on investment” from every donation is priceless. Many thanks to PI for all of their hard work and dedication and for giving me the opportunity to be a part of their efforts to support our beloved Giant Panda Bears.
Just read the monthly newsletter and so pleased with how they contribute to the health and welfare of such an endangered animal. The Executive Director always pays her own way when traveling to China to take important medical items and check on various panda reserves. And children adore raising money to donate towards the care of such a cute bear and learning about it.
For nearly 8 years I've had the opportunity to raise not only funds but increase the level of care for endangered pandas and also the level of equipment and training needed for their healthy survival. A major
Always fond of the cutest, cuddliest "bear", I was fortunate to meet the founders of Pandas International, Diane and Suzanne in 2001. Discovering their passion for the panda, as I was about to embark on my first trip to China, they assisted myself and 3 companions on a side trip to the Woolong Panda Reserve where we were able to visit what we thought would be a "zoo". Surprised when there we were able to realize how endangered the panda really was and how lucky we were to be able to watch, hold and even feed a cub during our days at Woolong. Returning home, I knew I needed to do more to ensure extinction was not the next phase.
I am proud to be a board member since that time and am thrilled that companies like my employer, MLT Vacations and my husbands, Suncor Energy have also become supporters of this rare and precious animal.
Please donate, volunteer, and ask your company for a donation or sponsorship of a Pandas International event.
You really can change the future by simply spreading the message.
