Great organization helping a beautiful and precious animal. Thankful for all of the work and dedication of the staff of Pandas International.
Pandas International does some incredible work around the world to preserve and enhance the lives of the endangered panda. Their outreach and tireless work that they do to support the giant panda is unprecedented by any other organization.
I would give it zero stars if that was possible. I would like to retract the comments I made in 2012. At that time, I had only heard about the organization.
Since that time, I have donated to adopt a panda and had interaction with PI. They have lied to me, and I can show emails. At the last Hug My Baby event,. Suzanne and her VIP possee even stayed at a different hotel than the rest of us. What kind of person does that when they are fund raising?
Shaking my head. Don't get me started about the distemper vaccines.
We are very sorry this is how you feel about our organization. We strive to have good relations with all our donors. Our director chose to stay at a different hotel, as she pays all her own expenses, instead of using limited resources vital to saving the giant panda. Regarding the distemper vaccines, the vaccine is a special recombinant vaccine which was not available from the manufacture for all of 2014, but as soon as it was made available in 2015, Pandas International sent 600 doses to various panda centers in China.
Suzanne and Pandas International has done so much to help giant panda conservation. The money donated is used to assist giant panda conservation in China as well as educate the public.
I came to know & meet PI volunteers, adopters & staff through my private adoption of a Panda from Wolong, Sichuan China. We met at the Panda reserve several years ago and have become Panda friends with a number of PI members & staff. They are all so passionate about protecting Pandas and really caring & nice people. I was impressed with the support PI has given over the years to the Panda reserves, especially when earthquakes devastated their sites. They were quick to arrange shipments of much needed essentials, medicines, etc for the staff & Pandas. They also kept us updated on the status of the disaster. Without their communications & monitoring, we would not have known the extent of the damage & their needs. I highly recommend & support PI as a Great Non Profit organisation who deserves to be highlighted as a champion for China's Pandas. We must work together to preserve these seriously endangered icons of China.
Pandas International is unlike most endangered species non-profits in that their focus is on ONE species - the Giant Panda. By working directly with the panda base and experts in China, I know that Pandas International targets funding to exactly what is needed to serve the staff and the pandas. I'm honored to be a part of such a great organization.
Pandas International is a fabulous organization that not only educates the public regarding the plight of the giant panda but also funds conservation projects, breeding programs, and reintroduction programs for these endangered bears.
I have attended many fund raisers for Pandas International in the Denver, CO, metro area. At each one, the demonstrate their commitment to preserving these endangered animals and raising public awareness to their plight. I feel like my donations and participation in the fund raisers are making a difference. I hope to someday join Pandas International on a trip to China to see first hand how they are making a difference. This is a great organization to support.
I have attended several fund raising activities and have always been impressed with the director and board and the worthiness of this charity. This group goes way above and beyond.
I've been exceptionally impressed by the dedication if Panda's International toward the protection of the giant panda. In addition to public awareness, the organization provides for the fundamental needs of the panda centers managed by the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda. The support includes vital medications for the pandas, X-ray and medical equipment, funding for researchers and scientists, panda enrichment and funding to support the daily needs of the reserves. No other organization is more committed to saving the Giant Panda.
I came across Pandas International earlier this year and was immediately impressed with their ability to deliver on their mission -- providing public awareness and education (through strategic partnerships with panda reserves and multimedia organizations like explore.org), supporting research and promoting habitat preservation. The importance of Giant Pandas is a difficult message to deliver to a global audience, many of whom may never see them in real life, and Pandas International does an incredible job of connecting people to these amazing animals.
Pandas Int'l is a great nonprofit group. I've been to two of their fundraising dinners and was impressed both times by the food and speeches. They are a passionate group of people.
Suzanne Braden and her staff do an excellent job of bring awareness to the need to save the Giant Panda from extinction and bridging our country with the Chinese people to whom the Panda is a National Treasure. I first became involved with Pandas International with the birth of Tai Shan at the National Zoo. Tai opened my eyes to the magic that pandas can give to us and each new birth especially here in the US brings a new sense that these magical, mystical and mesmerizing children of nature must endure for future generations to experience the joy they bring.
The Giant Panda is a worldwide symbol of why we need to protect all life on this planet. They bring such joy and peace just watching them eat, play and sleep. Suzanne Braden and her staff at Pandas International works tirelessly to help save and protect this charismatic and magical animal, especially after the earthquake which destroyed so much of the pandas habitat both at Woolong and in the wild. I believe in the work Pandas International does so much I am a Legacy Donor.
I've been receiving the Pandas International newsletter for about 4 yrs. and am very impressed by their dedication to raising money to provide for the endangered Panda. I've "adopted" pandas through their organization and participated in a fundraiser to provide an Ultrasound machine and training for the Veterinarians in China.
I especially like that they provide medications and baby formula for the Panda nursery in WoLong. After the earthquake at the WoLong Breeding center they were one of the first agencies to respond with much needed supplies.
Review from Guidestar
On May 12, 2008, a massive earthquake struck the Sichuan Province of China. Besides the concern for the thousands of people who were affected, panda lovers around the world were anxious for news of the many Giant Pandas living at a conservation center at the epicenter of the quake. The best way I knew how to help the pandas was by making a donation to Pandas International, an organization that has been vital in providing needed supplies to the conservation centers in China. As a result of email correspondence that evening, I knew Suzanne Braden, the director of Pandas International, was on the phone trying to contact people connected with the panda centers. The new cubs directly affected by the quake survived on milk formula provided by Pandas International just weeks before the quake struck. Suzanne Braden made a personal trip to the quake zone with relief supplies made possible by donations to Pandas International. This organization continues to support panda conservation efforts by supplying milk formula for cubs, medical supplies, and plantings of bamboo to help ensure the survival of an endearing endangered species. I am happy to support this nonprofit by my donations and by advertising their work, because I know the money is being used to help the Giant Pandas and the people who care for them.
