Our family adopted a Maltese dog from Northcentral Maltese Rescue in 2008. Alice Roark was the foster parent for Riley and she was wonderful to provide us with information as well as allow us to take our own Maltese to meet Riley and make sure they got along with each other. We filled out paperwork and they did a home visit to see if we were the perfect home - which we were! Riley had health issues, but we gave him the best loving home for 5 years before he passed away. He was such a special boy and he added so much to our family in the time we had him. Without Mary and the wonderful foster parents at NCMR, this rescue would not be possible. I’m so thankful for these people and the time and effort they put into rescuing these deserving dogs! In fact, we will be looking into rescuing another Maltese from them in the near future.
Northcentral Maltese Rescue, Inc paired us up w/Sonny (aka Taylor), when we needed to heal from grieving the loss from our first Maltese, who had passed away suddenly on Fathers Day.
Mary Palmer invited us to submit an application, which made the process very transparent/smooth....they completely vetted the animal, as well as thoroughly checking us/our home out as well, to see if we were a good fit...Their foster program is outstanding with these caring/loving people, that shower the pups with love & affection, till their furever families show up to adopt them...they even gave us Packer jerseys for little Sonny!
What a fantastic organization this is, with all the members contributing, big shoutout to Dr Ray, Mary Smith, & all the other caring volunteers that make this place so great, but especially to Mary Palmer, the heart/& soul of it all!
A wonderful organization with the most dedicated, loving staff headed by an “angel”, Mary Palmer. So many abused dogs have been given a chance to experience a home where they are treated with the love they deserve. Every owner’s life is enriched by adopting one of their rescues. Open your heart and home to one of these sweet dogs.
What a great group! This organization is so caring and helps as many dogs as they can! They really ensure these special dogs find the best forever homes. We will be forever grateful to them for allowing us to adopt our little guy Jupiter. Having him has really changed our lives for the better!
Over six years ago We met our dog GIgi at Belle City Vet. She is not a Maltese she’s actually we think yorkie and long-haired Dash hound. We heard about her and decided to go see her. We already had a dog and had just lost one the month before. When we went to see Gigi her name was twinkles and she had kennel cough. I was in the hospital when we found out that we were going to get Gigi. She still needed to be spaded and ended up waiting a few days for me until I got out of the hospital. Mary was professional and asked many questions at my home. She checked out my home and called my references. After I got GIgi I had to send Mary emails to let her know how Gigi was doing. Thank you Mary for giving us our precious GIgi
Twelve and a half years ago, I wanted a companion for my little female Maltese. At that time, I decided I wanted a rescue. It was the best choice I could make. I researched and looked at shelters all over my area, and I came across North Central Maltese Rescue Association. I saw a picture of my little Molly on their website, and I was instantly in love with her. I completed an application which was very extensive, as it should be, for these little ones. Mary Palmer was terrific and I became in contact with the foster Mom, Debby, who was wonderful. We talked and I learned little Molly's story of abuse, and couldn't wait to give her a loving forever home. I consider North Central Maltese Rescue an absolute best rescue - their structure and the things they do for Maltese as well as other types of small dogs is awesome. Unfortunately I lost my little Molly a few months ago, but I am now in the process of working with North Central Maltese Rescue again to adopt another little girl from them, and can't wait to be united with another good match for me.
First I'd like to start off by saying this nonprofit rescue organization is awesome! I'm so glad to have rescued an amazing pup from this rescue!
Second I must add, we adopted Meredith formerly known as "Mary". She was brought to the U.S. from a South Korean meat eating farm earlier this year. It's because of the awesome NMR rescue team that we now have a wonderful companion. There's no words to express how thankful we are for organizations like this. NMR just has to be one of the best!
Thanks.
