The NCOA offers a wonderful program called the Benefits Check Up. This is a simple, yet comprehensive way to allow Seniors to find out if they are receiving all the benefits that they qualify for. By using this tool, I have been able to help people who in my area average $725 per month in income to receive help paying medical deductibles, utilities, heating bills, prescriptions, receive in-home help, meals, and food. Continual improvements and updates make this the best way to help Seniors and cut back on red tape. Thank you NCOA for being a great advocate for Seniors.

NCOA has been a real asset to our organization, the North Carolina Seniors Health Insurance Information program ( SHIIP). NCOA provides valuable updates and information about Medicare and Medicare related products and issues. This information helps us do a better job when counseling and educating the 1.8 million Medicare beneficiaries living in North Carolina. NCOA's staff works diligently to support Medicare and agencies who work with Medicare beneficiaries. They are truly deserving of this recognition.

NCOA is a foundation for advocacy for seniors in America. Even living in the far stretches on a remote island in Alaska, we use NCOA as a resource for advocacy efforts for local, state, and federal issues effecting seniors populations. Our agency has been involved with NCOA for more than 15 years and we know we will continue to be a member and use their resources to better our service delivery and advocacy efforts for people 60 and older.

NCOA was the resource I turned to as a new senior center director. Through the years, the organization has continued to be my go to resource. As an example, their senior economic security resources have impacted many lives in our rural, Midwest community. NCOA is a lifeline to leaders on the grassroots level in senior services partly because they listen to professionals at the local level. Their ability to connect professionals in the field of senior services shows their commitment and vision. NCOA realizes that many of us in the field are working with limited resources and they respond to that with affordable top notch, replicable programs and services. They are leaders in outcome based programming and sharing innovative programs which are replicable across the country. The leadership is visionary and cutting edge and has made a difference across the country. NCOA has positively impacted my professional development which impacts the people I serve. They are leaders in setting standards for senior centers across the country. I learned to be an advocate for the people I serve.

I look forward to the latest news from NCOA each week! The articles help keep me on the cutting edge of the changes occurring which I share with my co-workers and consumers that I visit. I have learned so much from the various topics that are presented and have gone on to research some things further which in turn enables me to be a better advocate for the Seniors I work with on a daily basis. As someone who works with Older Adults on a daily basis I find the NCOA an invaluable resource. Keep up the good work!

Hundreds of older adults who are participants of the Center in the Park and residents of the NW Philadelphia community and beyond have experienced the Aging Mastery Program when our Center was one of the first five in the nation to offer it a few years ago . . . . and, we have been offering it since then in addition to a digital version . . . because so many participants have made small changes in behavior in order to maintain healthier lifestyles.

I often use this site when I am updating presentations that I created in the past but need current data to help inform the public about senior issues.
I use it to reaffirm how well the residents in our independent, senior, income qualified building are doing. They need to know how strong and resourceful they are and the data provided by NCOA is invaluable in helping them see this.
