This nonprofit is the best one I have ever heard of! My husband is 33 years old and was diagnosed in 2015 with a grade 2 oligodendroglioma which was successfully removed with a craniotomy. My husband has been battling ALOT of health issues and setbacks ever since his diagnosis which has caused many hospital visits, ER visits, specialist visits, chemo, etc. We do have good health insurance through my employer but we also have 4 children 10 and under so as you can imagine, keeping up with all the medical bills is VERY challenging. We were awarded a very generous grant through Mission 4 Maureen which has been a life saver! It just eases a little bit of the stress off of my shoulders so I can focus more on my husband and children. I appreciate this program so much and feel so blessed to have been referred to it. THANK YOU MISSION 4 MAUREEN!
M4M is based on the altruistic thoughts from Maureen before God called her home. This nonprofit provises financially for those cancer patient's and their family who are likely to have severe financial issues. Maureen was a blessing to all who knew her, her caring ways continue in her memory. Our world will never be the same, and it's not because Maureen is gone. It is because she was here in the first place.
Maureen thought she had migraines. Terry thought he had a sinus infection. Michael was treated for snoring. Robert blanked out while driving his car. None of them imagined they had brain cancer, but all of them suddenly had mountains of medical expenses. Not everything is covered by insurance and trying to afford treatment and pay normal household expenses becomes an immeasurable challenge. For these patients there are few organizations to which to turn but Mission4Maureen is one of them.
They have taken a terrible loss and turned into selfless acts of kindness. the spirit of Maureen Lowis lives on in the families this foundation touches. If she could take all the pain and suffering that goes along with this disease she would. The foundation attempts to take away some of the financial stress and lets families focus on the importan matters of getting the patient better.
This foundation is truly a God send to those family's who are going through difficult times during cancer. Not only was this Maureen's wish to help other families who suffer in the same way she did, but, her family contributes tremendously by way of fundraising, raffles, triathlons/races etc.
To be a part of Mission 4 Maureen is sharing in the vision of a selfless, loving and caring individual. Maureen wanted nothing more than to make a difference in other's lives and with the help of her husband, father, children, family and friends her mission is being carried out. I have been a proud supporter of M4M since the beginning. I have taken alot of pride in recruiting online supporters through social networking, participating in raffle events and personal contributions. I am blessed to be apart of such a wonderful organization and look forward to seeing how many lives can be touched by this cause.
The mission statement-"Nobody can do everything, but everybody can do somehting" is exactly how this small but very dedicated organization works. The efforts of the people and the patients and their families who benefit from their work know- M4M pays it forward! When faced with over-whelming issues, they get at least a little renewed faith and hope from the M4M. So many times we want to help but either are not asked or do not know how to help a family in this type of situation. M4M, with their motto, shows that everyone can do something either by supporting M4M finacially, or recommending a family or individual who needs assistance. Donations to M4M go directly to families who need it, not into an organization that has overhead and expenses that interfere with the donations getting to those who need it. Thanks to those who are the M4M. You have taught me what a commitment to a mission really means.
