Nonprofit Overview

Causes: International

Mission: The mission of Matthew 25: Ministries is to fulfill Matthew 25:34-40 by providing nutritional food to the hungry, clean water to the thirsty, clothing to the naked, shelter to the homeless, medical care to the ill, and humanitarian supplies to prisoners. "As you did it to the least of these my brothers and sisters, you did it to me" (Matthew 25:40).

Results: Thank you to everyone who supports Matthew 25: Ministries' work with the poorest of the poor! With the generous support of our volunteers and donors, Matthew 25 distributed record-breaking amounts of humanitarian aid to the poorest of the poor in our community, our country and our world in 2011. THANK YOU for being a part of our work! In 2011, Matthew 25: Ministries: •Shipped 621 forty-foot containers of humanitarian aid and disaster relief. •Shipped more than 13 million pounds of desperately needed supplies (20% of these products stayed in the U.S.). •Helped more than 15 million people in Greater Cincinnati, throughout the United States and around the world. •Responded to the earthquake/tsunami in Japan, tornadoes in the southern region of the United States, and flooding in Nicaragua and other parts of Central America. •Celebrated 20 years of service and shipped our 100 millionth pound of aid. •Was ranked #1 by Forbes and Charity Navigator for efficiency. •Produced 3,324,265 meals in our Food Processing Center, 1 million of which went to Japan.

Programs: Humanitarian Aid Organization Matthew 25: Ministries is a humanitarian aid organization that helps more than 11 million people around the world each year and sends more than 10 million pounds of aid such as food, personal care items, medical supplies, and other products to the poorest of the poor. We work with corporations, organizations and individuals to provide much needed aid to the poor and fight against world poverty . Our HUMANITARIAN RELIEF Products Matthew 25: Ministries provides humanitarian relief to the poor by collecting product donations from corporations, organizations, and individuals. With the help of our volunteers, M25M evaluates, categorizes, sorts, and processes these donated items before shipping them to those in need. These steps ensure that the products meet social, legal, and cultural requirements of the area. The donated items range from personal to community supplies, food, clothing, and medical aid. These donations help those in impoverished areas of Greater Cincinnati, throughout the U.S. , and around the world. Our Humanitarian Aid Partners In order to reach as many people as possible, Matthew 25: Ministries partners with non-profit organizations in the recipient location. This helps keep costs down. Through these relationships we ensure that donated goods are shipped to places with true need and distributed by people who are familiar with the area. Matthew 25: Ministries works with more than 20 organizations in the Greater Cincinnati area, groups throughout the United States including Appalachia and the American Indians, and in over 35 countries worldwide. Disaster Response In disaster situations, time is a precious commodity and implementing an effective disaster response is critical. Matthew 25: Ministries is constantly monitoring its readiness to meet the needs of a sudden disaster. This includes maintaining the facilities and resources needed, as well as being ready to engage disaster relief volunteers from the local community who want to help provide relief to the victims. Disaster Support Process In order to provide the most effective disaster support possible, supplies must be sorted prior to being shipped. When aid products reach the devastated area, they need to be ready for immediate distribution. Matthew 25: Ministries ships only pre-sorted, pre-processed items that are culturally and seasonally appropriate to the disaster area. This ensures that the products will bring relief to the victims instead of creating additional work for the responders in the area. According to UNDRO (United Nations Disaster Relief Organization), "The impulsive generosity of governments, organizations, and individuals alike can cause as much chaos and confusion as the disaster itself." Natural Disaster Relief Matthew 25: Ministries has responded to a wide variety of natural disasters including cyclones, tsunamis, earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, windstorms, and droughts. Most recently, Matthew 25: Ministries has been shipping disaster relief products to Japan in response to the March 2011 earthquake, tsunami, and nuclear crisis.

I have had the privilege of volunteering with M25M at the warehouse, for the Kid Again party, and part of a Medical Mission Trip to Haiti and Puerto Rico. Every time I show up, I am greeted warming and feel appreciated for the time and job that I perform. I appreciate that at the warehouse I can bring my family to help serve as well. As a Medical professional I am able to participate in Medical Relief efforts and see first hand how they treat everyone with dignity, respect and compassion in their time of need. I have volunteered with many organizations in the past but I hope that I will be able to volunteer with M25M for many years to come.

I have volunteered with Matthew 25: Ministries since the 2010 earthquake in Haiti. I have had the privilege of serving as a nurse on the medical team multiple times since then.
I encourage everyone to donate, volunteer or work with Matthew 25 in any capacity that they are able. I can attest that 100% of the donations are used for their intended purpose.
I value that this organization assists both in the US and abroad.
I have personally witnessed orphans in Haiti flourish with proper housing, education, nutrition, health care and the like; all provided by the Matthew 25 staff and volunteers.
I consider donating and volunteering for this organization as some of the most fulfilling experiences of my life!

I cannot think of a better nonprofit organization than Matthew 25: Ministries. I had the honor of getting involved with this organization after the tragic earthquake in Haiti in February, 2010. Since that time, I have been an active part of their Medical Mission Team as a volunteer. I have been treated with professionalism and respect throughout all of my experiences. I have heard nothing but positive responses from other people who have had contact with Matthew 25 as well. I am most impressed by this organizations efficiency and ability to effectively use 99% cash and in-kind donations toward their programs.

I had previously dropped off donations to M25M but had never volunteered time until last Friday. My wife, Kathy, grandaughter, Loren Cook, and I worked about 4 hours helping sort and load donations bound for Hurricane Harvey victims. Loren has worked several times and wanted to help so Kathy and I decided to tag along. It was a very rewarding experience to say the least. Your leader employees were very professional and kind. Meeting other volunteers and people arriving with loads of donations was very exhilarating. We will definitely be back to help.

I have been volunteering at Matthew 25 for about 4+ years. My wife and I go every Friday and do whatever we are asked to do in support of their mission. Whenever possible we bring our grandkids. They love doing work that benefits those in need. It provides a life lesson and strengthens caring values. Last week when I was there I saw several kids, about 6 or 7 years old working with soaps. The joy on their faces was priceless. Every time I show up I am impressed by the professionalism of the staff and the work effort of them and the volunteers. Finding Matthew 25 was something I will be forever grateful happened.

I've been involved with Matthew 25 since the early 90's. I have organized volunteer workdays at Matthew 25 for over 20 years. i remember we were in a little building in Blue Ash then moved to what we thought was a much larger building in the Park 50 complex in Milford. This was just the first of many places we were in until we finally bought and refurbished the current location on Kenwood Rd. When we built our first facility on Loveland Rd in the late 90's, we no idea how we would ever fill it -- by the time we had it built we had out grown it! God has truly blessed this Ministry. You know when you go there that what ever you do, you are doing it for "the least of these" and that you are truly making a difference in the world.

I have been privileged to work with this loving organization for many years. Each time I go I am amazed at the positive, loving, caring difference this "mission" has on our world. It is especially gratifying to be able to,actually "work" here and feel part of the whole process rather than just writing a check.

I have worked here for years and it is the "best thing ever". I bring in donations from our parishioners (pill bottles, medical supplies, clothing, household items, shoes, leftover paint, etc). It has been a neat experience to find us using Rainbow Paint from M25M while on Mission trips in Jamaica!!! I usually volunteer once a week, meeting my sister who lives 30 miles away so we can "catch up" while we work. Once you come here, you are "hooked" on what M25M does for the world! I thank God for having given me the opportunity.

I have been working with Matthew:25 for over 15 years. The people who run this organization, the volunteers who give up their time and the friendships that have been made over these years has made a big impact on my life. I am always amazed at the scope of what Matthew:25 does. If you need help----they are there!

I have been volunteering at Matthew 25 Ministries several hours per week for almost five years. When I leave at the end on my volunteer time, I have a good feeling that I have helped a very caring and efficient organization. I have also enjoyed meeting other volunteers and the friendly staff at Matthew 25 Ministries.

M25M has proven to be a life-improving experience, not only for the millions of people who receive help/aid, but also for me, personally. In the act of volunteering once a week, I can witness the hours of labor that lovingly go into making this aid possible. In so many ways I, myself, benefit in sharing with the other volunteers, the mission of M25:M has laid out. I feel I have made another family here, especially with Lou, a very special family. I would encourage everyone to make time for volunteering at some point in their life!! It is SO worth it!

I first started volunteering because my golf buddy, Bob, and I were trying to find some new places to spend our time. Since one of our other golf buddies had an injury, our group could no longer golf. We tried local places like soup kitchens and helped restore some local buildings, but when we came across Matthew 25 Ministries we really liked what they do. They accepted all of us, no matter what religious background we had and they never pushed any believes on us. We really liked that. The best thing about them is that 99.9% of all donations go out and help people in need. I remember helping sort somewhere around 10,000 tuxedos and thought, what are they going to do with these? Shelly reminded me that in some countries it's really cold so they could really use the jackets to keep warm. I had never thought of it like that before. I also really enjoyed their Tickets The Radio Play performance, it was really funny!!

God has blessed me with a good life and lots of advantages. In addition to enjoying what I do at Matthew 25, I feel a responsibility to pay it forward to those who don't have as much as I do.

Sixteen years ago, my wife and I, both newly retired, were looking for location to volunteer. We tried M25M and stayed. The opportunity to serve to, to stay in Cincinnati and the people we met early on (Wendell and Anita), all contributed to our decision of volunteering. Of primary importance was the Matthew 25 parable, “what you did for these, the least of my brothers, you did for me.” My wife has since passed away; I have never regretted the decision we made sixteen years ago.

I love volunteering at Matthew 25 Ministries because I always have something to do. My most favorite person at Matthew 25 Ministries is Mary in station 1. She keeps me on my toes!

Matthew 25 does an amazing job of helping the poorest of the poor and those in need, after disasters - providing hope to so many people in many different countries!

By giving of your time, talents, prayers and donations, it's always an easy, awesome way to get involved - Both locally and globally.

I can't speak highly enough about my experiences with Matthew 25 - whenever I finish volunteering, I feel empowered and ready to give even more of myself.

Just returned from a mission trip to Haiti with M25. Couldn't have had a better time serving with friends at an orphanage and multiple medical clinics. I wouldn't miss this mission trip and will go whenever asked and however many times. M25 has done so much in Haiti since the earthquake and continues to do even more. I will continue to be part of M25 in any mission they need help whether here or abroad but most especially in Haiti.

I recently had the opportunity to go on a mission trip to Haiti and can't wait to go back. What M25 does for the orphanage that we visited was tremendous and that's just a small portion of what they do there. The people they help, touch and minister to is more than I can put into words. I will continue to support M25 in every way I can and will continue to go on missions as long as I'm allowed to participate.

I first started coming to Matthew 25 Ministries in the fall of 2011. I was looking for somewhere I could serve the Lord by helping the least of these. After volunteering just one day, I knew I had found my place to serve the Lord. I am amazed at the work they do at home and around the world. I am amazed at the amount of donations they receive from large corporations. I'm proud to work for an organization that has consistently been rated one of the best non-profits. The amount of each dollar that goes directly to aid is astounding. I have made great friends during my four years there. I work on Station 4, and all of us ladies who work there care greatly for one another, and we care greatly about the work we are doing. Working in this environment can seem like abstract giving, but as I am folding, rubber-banding, packing each item, I try to think about the person who has nothing who might receive this item. It makes me smile. Once, I actually saw on the evening news from Haiti a dress that I had packed several of a month or so before. It was so exciting to see on television something that we were packing at M25M and now someone was proudly wearing that dress. I intend to keep working at M25M for as long as I can, doing as much as I can to serve those with the very least. This is great organization, made up of a great bunch of very dedicated people, both employees and volunteers. I am honored every time that I can go there to serve.
