There are millions of charity organisations in this world, a 100+ can be even found in Cochin alone! If MAD was also one like that, I wont have given a 2nd look. What inspired me is their uniqueness in helping people, theres a statement in their website “Giving money alone in name of charity will not help people instead it might kill. We do direct the needy children through the right path to unleash their potential, to achieve their goals,to make them understand what life is all about!” This sentence caught my attention as I am having the same idea for a long time! Giving or throwing some money at the poor may give you a fake satisfaction-a feel you have done something for the poor-for the sake of someone-might be for a showup in the society? Ofcourse! Its a great thing, giving money & helping others is great but what if the boy who gets your 1000 rupees dont know what to do with it? What if he dont know how to utilise it effectively? What happens is, he will simply waste the amount by eating, playing, doing all unnecessary stuffs! Instead of creating potential humans out of the poor, we will create 1000’s of smart beggers by giving them money & not teaching them how to use it!? Here comes the importance of MAD - they are different like their name, they teach people how to grow, how to turn the stones thrown @ people to milestones, how to think ambitiously, how to achieve!
I came across MAD through a friend and I really appreciate the work they do to help kids have a better future.
Mad has been working around the country to connect underprivileged children to youth who have been luckier in their lives. Providing them with educational opportunities especially for communications skills and an opportunity to explore various vocations which they wouldn't get an opportunity to be exposed to. I am proud to be associated with MAD as a donor.
Wow these guys are really making a difference. I love the way they love the children. A great cheers to these guys for spending their precious time in this busy world to do this big favour. -William
I started to know MAD through its volunteers. Those dedicated (and admittedly crazy) bunch of people who truly feel happiness in seeing kids smile. Everyday i would see as they routinely gave up sleep and relaxation to work with the children, to teach them and assure them that they too are capable of achieving whatever their tender hearts desire. This organisation works tirelessly and most innovatively as well, they don't force you to join and they have very flexible hours. All they require is your dedication and love. I feel proud that my friends are a part of something that touches children's hearts on an everyday basis and encourages them to follow their dreams.
I have interacted with a couple of MAD volunteers. I have found them to be a group of individuals who are passionate about removing inequity in the society by educating those who don't get a chance normally. This is specially commendable as most people do this apart from their everyday jobs. MAD also has found creative ways of recruiting the right people and retaining them by staying true to its mission. I believe this sets them apart and gives everybody a chance to make a difference.
i have seen MAD Mangalore team work only through picture...and through the words of on of their volunteer. The way he explains what they did and the things in see on pics make me feel even i should be part of such a team.. who spend their little free time to get a smile on many faces... hats off to them... thought i'm a little far i would always wanna be a part of this org which is doing such a wonderful job. keep up the good work and i wish MAD great success in what ever they do.
