I quit my job in feb 09 to spend sometime with my family before heading for higher studies to the UK.I've spent a lil time with Make a Diiference and have seen them work, up close.I must say amongst all the charities I have worked with, make a difference is surely the best. Unlike other NGOs I have toch based with..MAD somehow manages to interweave into my existence..It has a culture which enables one to work with them without disturbing much else in their life. This quality is beneficial in it that it helps a lot of people sign up for their programmes...
There are so many organisations which claim they do work but this one stands out. Why? Simply because they believe that promises are made to be kept. I've seen the commitment of the members to the organisation and it left me speechless. And still does, to this very day. And they don't do it because they have to. They do it because they WANT to. Its amazing.. And feels so great to know that there are people out there who are doing their bit. Maybe they can't save the world, but they're helping children and in turn saving them. That's way more than some of us have ever done! Great going guys, keep up the good work!
Everybody talks about making a difference, its a fashionable thing to say.But only a very few actually makes a difference even if its in a feeble way.MAD as I know is one such who believes in the power of education and what a world of change it can bring to the less fortunate and the more needy. The spirit of each maddie is infectious and the goodwill is spreading like a virus, albeit even that extra mile is sometimes not enough to cleanup the mess we are in, so keep going strong to stronger and keep up the MAD work.God Bless!
I Have heard about Make a difference and it does great work , always wanted to be a volunteer but never worked out, this is the least I can do
everytime I give up and look anxiously at todays generation...I remember these volunteers of MAD.Youngsters who not only make such a huge difference in the life of scores of unprivilaged children...they make a difference in my life. They remind my responsibility to perform better and make a difference everytime.
