I have known Amy Ostroff, the co-founder of Love to Langa through volunteering for Art Goes To School ' where we teach art appreciation to students from Kindergarten through 8th grade in our local public schools. Her devotion for the underprivileged kids in South Africa prompted my husband and I to make regular donations to her charity. Over the years, we have seen the great work Love to Langa has done to teach, provide facilities, photography workshops, Swim Academy ' to improve the education and conditions of kids who would otherwise not have had the chance. For my 50th birthday, I chose Love to Langa as my charity in lieu of gifts so that I could get my friends and family involved in this beautiful work. I was thoroughly touched by the lovely video they sent me with the kids saying 'Thank You.'
