Screening for Mental Health, Inc. was delighted to be selected recently for support by the Jewish Teen Foundation of Greater Boston (JTFGB), in this, their second year of funding. The 50 students - from Gann Academy, Hebrew College's Prozdor, and local synagogues - learned about philanthropy, created a board leadership structure, put out a request for applications, and carefully evaluated the hundreds they received. After raising almost $50K, grants were awarded to seven agencies. It was a worthy effort for our organization, and of course, for the teens. My colleague Kristen Lynch wrote the winning grant...and was thrilled to receive the "BIG" check!
Thanks to all involved at JTFGB,
Jan Schwartz, Development Partnership Manager
