HRI represents clients from many different countries, such as: the Democratic Republic of Congo, Somalia, Liberia, Cameroon, Angola, Ethiopia, Armenia, Iran, Kenya, Sudan, Honduras, Iraq, Uganda, Turkey, Chad, Tanzania, Burundi, Togo, and Egypt. - Legal Services provides consultation and representation at the Immigration and Naturalization Service, the Immigration Court, or the Board of Immigration Appeals for those seeking political asylum. Clients must present a compelling case for asylum, providing proof of persecution or the well-founded fear of persecution based on one or more of the following: race, religion, nationality, political opinions, and/or membership in a particular social group. Clients qualify for this free legal representation by demonstrating their inability to pay legal fees.
