Superb facility, awesome coaches and fantastic programs. I highly recommend Home Court to all kids, from those wanting to learn the game to the seasoned pros!
It is a privilege and gift to be able to have our sons partcipate in Home Court programs with a top-notch coaching staff. Our sons have been coached by Pat Scott and Danny Monares, alongside an assistant coaching staff comprised of some of the finest teenagers in our community, interviewed and carefully selected by Pat Scott. They are expected to exhibit and maintain stellar role model standards in all categories of life (not just the game of basketball) for the elementary school students who register for Home Court programs. Our 8 year old son has participated in about 6 Home Court clinics & camps to date. The fun, enjoyable, creative clinic activities and the Home Court coaching philosophy has helped teach him important LiFE SKILLS using the game of basketball as the object lessons and analogies, so to speak, in every Home Court session.
As a parent i have both my boys involved in a number of sports. By far the complete experience Home Court provides is superior to any training program or organized league i have been involved with. I know basketball pretty well and have played, volunteer coached and been exposed to many programs with a number of different philosophies. Home Court has broken the game down into a set of instructions, drills, coaching style, and consistent format with contstant reinforecment that builds solid well rounded basketball players! My oldest boy Shane who is 13 years of age, has been part of the Home Court program for the last 4 years. Shane has learning disabilities that makes it very difficult for him to hear and process multiple instructions. I never told the coaches or the Program Director about this as i wanted Shane to learn to adapt to his challenges on his own. I have been so impressed with his improvement and progress and have watched him execute on the basketball court in games the concepts that have been taught during training sessions. This is a true testiment to the program and my belief that it is one of the best around. Coaches coach players and consistently help them with positive reinforcement so even a kid like Shane can achieve success and build his confidence in his abilities. It goes beyond basketball skills as every coach in the program has taught Shane that repetition and hard work lead to good things!
Great overall program for helping kids develop athletic, leadership and general life skills. I would highly recommend this program to anyone
My son has benefited from the great coaching staff at Homecourt. The player to coach ratio is always small and they are very positive with the kids. They make it fun while still developing great basketball skills. Highly recommend their programs!
I am so pleased with the program at Home Court. I had been so upset by the inconsistency at other basketball programs that I was blown away by Home Courts program. My son was able to learn the fundamentals of the game and learn to actually play the game as well. I saw huge growth throughout the season because of the constant and consistent coaching that he received. They are very well organized and not overpriced. It was a great investment for my son! He loved it and would go all the time if he could.
Our son has participated in classes at Home Court NW for a couple of years now. We have always had nothing but positive experiences with this organization. The staff to student ratio is excellent. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and excel at working with kids. They teach the kids teamwork, team responsibility, and general sportsmanship. I've always seen a huge increase in my son's basketball skills as a result of attending the classes. Class time is used effectively and efficiently, staff are always prepared and start class on time.
Homecourt is a great organization for kids who love basketball. Their coaches and organizers run wonderful programs aimed at developing basketball skills. There are so many coaches who help out that you really get personal attention to your child. I would definitely recommend Homecourt to anyone.
We have been sending our children to Home Court for 6 1/2 years now and could not be happier with their programs. Not only do the kids learn to play basketball, they learn to be good teammates as well. The leaders are all postitive role models who put the emphasis on playing good defense and offense instead of being a ballhog. The programs are well organized, fun, keep kids busy, and build self esteem. Even when someone misbehaves, the leaders deal with it respectfully and are very encouraging that next time the child will make a good choice. We feel their programs are age appropriate and challenging for different skill levels. We highly recommend Home Court for anyone who loves basketball and wants to improve skills as well as anyone who just wants to give the sport a try and have fun.
Home Court has been a valuable resource for the kids in this community. A place where they can learn and grow in sportsmanship, team building, basketball fundamentals, as well as the finer aspects of playing the game. The coaches are always upbeat and fair and really try to work with the kids on a personal level. My son enjoys going and working at Home Court. Thank you, Dan Herman
We are so happy with our choice to have our son play Basketball at Homecourt! The coaches were always positive but held the boys accountable for acting appropriately, the skills learned were above and beyond our expectations, and most importantly our son LOVED going to Homecourt. We felt the staff worked hard to keep teams competitive and helped boys with sportsmanship and did a great job of teaching them teamwork skills. At the 5th grade level in other programs all we heard from our friends were about "ball hogs" and frustrations, we didnt have any of that. YEA!! Homecourt is a Positive, Progressive Program where we watched our son grow in skill and basketball knowledge. A+++
My kids have been participating at Home Court for over 5 years and we continue to stay involved. I appreciate their approach to teaching character through sport. Not only are basketball skills and techniques taught at age-appropriate levels, but life skills such as teamwork, hard work, and positive focus are emphasized. It is comforting to know that no matter which coach is working with my child, I know he is being taught valuable lessons that he can use both on and off the basketball court. I have talked with several current and former staff members at Home Court, and it is evident that the leadership and training they receive prepares them for life as well. I am proud to be a member and participant of the Home Court family, and look forward to many more years with their programs for my children.
We love Home Court! My daughter has participated in the program for the last 2 years, and my 6 year old son has just started the Fun Dees program. The coaches are so supportive, and the coach/player ratio is fantastic! The Home Court facility is beautiful, and they really run a first rate program. I appreciate the fact that the coaches not only teach basketball skills, but life skills as well.
Home Court is a place where kids can develop basketball and life skills that are not necessarily taught or learned in a school setting. It has been a great experience for my oldest Daughter and I look forward to sending my other children to some of their programs. The coach to player ratio is great and it's a very well run organization with designs on bettering the future leaders and members of our community.
Home court is a jewel. Our community is lucky to have such a top notch facility right here in our backyard. The quality of the court, hoops, equipment, and not least of all the coaching, ...is as good as anything the Eastside has to offer. What sets Home Court apart, is the priority they place on building life skills. Whether your son or daughter, goes on the play high school, or college basketball...they will learn the tools that matter most to every coach, teacher, and employer. My son now plays for his high school basketball team, and Home Court has been instrumental in his progress as an athlete, as well as a young man. We've been pleased with the experience and plan on the continued use of Homecourt for our younger son as well.
I have had my two sons involved in Home Court NW for the last five years. Although they have been a huge help in getting them to the next level for there basketball skills it is all of the other aspects they teach that I find so important. At home Court they learn to be respectful, helpful and polite. They work on leadership skills and how to come together as a part of a team. The organization is extremely well run and is a great part of the overall community in Woodinville. All of the coaches are energetic and knowledgable. My kids always look forward to any new clinics they can attend. Home Court also runs seminars for coaches to help them have the proper perspective on what helps kids grow in a safe and enjoyable environment. All of the families and kids I have talked to always have great things to say about the life lessons there kids have picked up from Home Court. We are a much richer community with nonprofit organizations like Home Court in Woodinville.
My son has done many of the programs over the years, from the skill building clinics to the leagues. The tools he has come away with from Homecourt have not only taken him far with basketball(making his school teams)but have also built confidence in his roles at school. The positive environment is truely an asset! The whole staff at homecourt are Top Notch, great examples in teaching and developing a well rounded player on the court and off.
Our son and daughter have participated in various programs at Home Court, from a 2-day clinic to a winter league. The facilites are wonderful, but more importantly, the staff/coaches are first-rate. The focus on the fundamentals while making it fun made it an excellent experience for us all.
My sons have participated in many programs that Home Court has offered. The facilities are great and well-maintained. Home Court emphasizes the fundamentals of basketball and then as the players become more experienced, fine tunes further skills such as passing, decision-making, rebounding and shooting. The Winter League offers equitable playing time during games, so all players get on court playing experience. The coaches are all very professional and excellent role models. Home Court even allows the older participants a chance to volunteer as coaches to the younger children. The program at Home Court is well-rounded.
The experience we have had with the Homecourt program has been, and continues to be, overwhelmingly positive. We wanted our 6th grade son (a) to learn solid, fundamental basketball skills in a positive, yet stimulating environment, (b) to have the opportunity to be part of a team, and (c) to have the opportunity to develop peer relationships. We also wanted him to be coached and taught from people who have a solid understanding of basketball. Homecourt has exceeded our expectations. Our son, who had no prior basketball experience coming to Homecourt, has more confidence than we have ever seen. He isn’t afraid to try new moves. He isn’t afraid to fail because every mistake he makes has a positive aspect and is considered a learning opportunity. Because of this approach, his self-confidence level has been significantly elevated. The director and the coaches are excellent communicators and facilitators. We appreciate the fact that they take extra time to communicate with each parent about his/her child’s progress. We look forward to being involved in Homecourt for many years. THEY KNOW THEIR STUFF ïŠ
