Have a friend whose dogs were taken to Hearts United for Animals by a CAREGIVER. Lady & Daisy were staying with a caregiver while she was taking care of the final arrangements for her husband who passed away after a long battle with cancer.

She has been trying for 2 months to retrieve her two dog's that were taken by this caregiver. Hearts United in Auburn Nebraska took these dogs in but this caregiver DID NOT HAVE THE RIGHT to do this so this makes them stolen property yet after HUA was contacted by the grieving widow HUA has refused to return them. Even denying the owner the right to adopt them and even paying for the right to reclaim them.

Shouldn't Hearts United for Animals be trying to find forever homes for any pet that they have taken in? Why when they have someone asking to adopt an animal would they not want to work with them? Going so far as to not even following their own adoption rules and procedures. If HUA is a true shelter, GREAT, but this comes across as hoarding and not in the best interest of any of the animals in their care.

Lady and Daisy need to be reunited with their legal owner as they are grieving also. Please share this with friends and family and help Lady and Daisy come home!
