Mission: Hands Across the Sea is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization dedicated to raising the literacy levels of Caribbean children by assisting schools and libraries in Eastern Caribbean communities

Programs: Hands Across the Sea's Caribbean Literacy and School Support (CLASS) Program has shipped over 265,170 new amazing books to 422 primary and secondary schools and libraries on Antigua, St. Kitts and Nevis, Dominica, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and Grenada, giving 74,000 children access to age-appropriate, culturally- appropriate top-quality reading material.
Hands Across the Sea has given the students of the Greggs Primary School a greater chance of reading success. The organisation made a promise to provide us with literature that can improve our literacy program and the promise was kept. We will forever be grateful to the organisation for their support, for enhancing our library and for the opportunity given to our students to explore the world through books.
