in spite of all mess happening around, I had the privilege to talk to many field staff and visited few mission fields of GFA/BC/Bridge of Hopes and realized that my accountability to God and commitment need to be more stronger than what I read and hear. I found a group of sincere and hard working men and women of God need my prayer as well as support. I recommend with all my conscience.
Before considering this charity, one should note that the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability voted to terminate GFA's membership due to violation of nearly all standards. Three pastor board members have resigned over the violations. Not recommended.

Their lack of accountability and transparency in financial matters is of great concern! They have yet to deal with recent allegations and their loss of EFCA status! Donor beware!

INDIAN CHURCH DISMISSES TWO BISHOPS FOR PART IN PENTECOSTAL CEREMONY
The consecration of Yohannan as a bishop took place in February 2003 at a service led by Bishop K. J. Samuel, moderator of the Church of South India, and attended by two other bishops from the church as well as the two bishops from North India. Samuel has since failed to win the support of his church synod for re-election as moderator. The Church of South India synod declared Yohannan's consecration to be "invalid" and said neither Samuel nor the other bishops had authorisation from the church to take part in the ceremony.
Transparency and Accountability in Ecumenical Relations

... Accountability in Ecumenical Relations Discussions in Indian/Asian Contexts. Gnana Robinson .... Corruption in Churches was the subject of our discussion.
The latest Episcopal scandal in the Church of South India and the Church of North India was the consecration of K.P. Yohanan, a lay man, an evangelical preacher with a foreign wife, who formed his own church and called it the Believers’ Church. He has many supporters in U.S.A. and Australia. He draws huge amounts from overseas. One year the Government announced in newspapers the list of those non-governmental organizations which received large sums of money from overseas, and K.P. Yohanan topped the list. That year he had received Rs. 780 million from overseas. He was consecrated as bishop by the then CSI moderator K.J. Samuel with the accompaniment of the present moderator and one other bishop from the CSI and two bishops from the CNI, without any prior theological discussion on the faith issues involved and without any formal decision of the CSI Synod or its Executive Committee. The CNI viewed the matter very seriously and conducted an enquiry. In the enquiry, one of the participants, Bp. Nayak of the Phulbani Diocese of the CNI, had admitted that he participated in that function because “he was assured of some financial assistance by Mr. K.P. Yohannan.” (CSI Life, Feb.-Mar ’04, p.5) The CNI took this to be enough evidence for both its bishops taking money for participating in the consecration and laying hand on K.P. Yohanan, and dismissed both of them from being bishops. (The North India Church Review, February, 2004). The drastic action taken by the CNI frightened the Moderator and the two bishops of the CSI who conducted that illegal consecration. A period of suspense and fear continued among them when lobbying and bargaining were going on. The matter was somehow silenced. Full insight into the proceedings has yet to be gained.
This time, he has linked to the writings of a Canadian pastor who has stopped giving to GFA and tells us why in a devastating 13 page report/letter. http://michaelnewnham.com/?p=22436

I knew Gospel For Asia and Believers Church and found if that the hands of God was always with them.No ministry in India could reach to this place with in 35 years of service. Without any doubt I will say it is God who sustain. No other ministries ever had to face such a massive attack from all direction ( Government, people who profess to be spiritual, people with spiritual languages, people who are born to become the accuser of brethren and people who had wrong motive etc) but I could see always God is standing with them and fighting for them. They have high grade of financial integrity and absolute trustworthiness of all money people send. They are a history makers for sure . I have high regard for it's metropolitan and leaders, they are simple people but honest and committed. As an outsider I watched them so carefully and stand in awe of God. As an Indian it's very hard to praise someone but I have high regard for them. I always pray that they may stay blessed for to be a blessings for millions to find hope and love
One of the things that most impacted me was the missionaries' dependence on the Lord. They pray about all things and trust in the Lord. It was so neat to see how the Lord answered their prayers. Also, seeing their work among the poorest living in the slums was impactful. There are committed missionaries living in the slum, sharing the love of Jesus with those around them. I don't think I could do that so I'm grateful to be a part of sending them.
Iam thankful to the Lord for GFA and the way God has been using the organization. In spite of every attack by enemies of all sorts and negative reports I saw this organization is growing more than ever before. I had privilage to closely watch it's growth and saw and realized that the hands of God is always with them .I know quite number of their leaders and they all are amazing people with humble spirit of service. I trust and recommend this organization
The Lord is working through many individuals and organizations around the world, however I am blown away by how He is using Gospel for Asia. I want to encourage you to look into this yourself and seek the Lord; but if you want to store treasure in heaven start praying, supporting and or volunteering with these brothers and sisters. Prayer is at the heart of this ministry. I've been to the field to see the work and words can not describe how grateful I am to the Lord to allow me to be a part of this ministry. Only in heaven will I see the great reward! Pray about this...we're not guaranteed tomorrow. Share Jesus to the millions who are lost through GFA.
it was one of my great privilage to visit Believers Church works in Rajasthan and found awesome and overwhelming experience to see how deeply their missionaries involve with their works in developing different typical remote villages in Rajasthan. I saw underprivilaged children are getting education, water fecilities provided, women being literally educated and so on. my trip was so refreashing one. I encourage all to take a trip first to some of their fields before you make some commitment ,if you do so I challenge that your commitment would be reshaped and you would do more than you thought to do. Never believe any negative stuff people trying to attack them with as they have so many opponents from all levels. your all questions would be answered if you directly talk to them or visit them. God bless
I never saw any other organization in India being badly attacked by all than GFA ande Believers Church, including political parties, dark world, oppononets of Gopsel, people with bad intensions. But God stood by this Organization in all level, which proof His word that nothing would stand against His church. God with all angel in heaven would protect anything which God himself initiated. People are working with this entities are genuine, committed, faithful and loyal. I have high respect for it's founder Bishop. K.P as a loyal visionorary leader hardly can find in any other organizations in India. His lie is the proof that after having everything a person still can become comitted and devoted to the Lord. Thank God for a leader like him. He is a choosen vesel by the Lord for this generation for sure.
