Arrgh! My review disappeared when I pressed submit! It looks like I have to start over from the beginning. (And I was so eloquent the first time.) My kids have never been involved in any school sports, but have always been more interested in performing arts. Specifically, they've devoted time to Quaker Valley musicals and to performing arts. Recently, I was finally able to convince my youngest son to try Art Club. I'd been trying to convince him to attend because he always enjoys working with clay and metal, and my hope was that he'd be able to explore those areas further through the QVMS Art Club. He finally decided to go, and on his very first day he texted me, saying "I love Art Club." This was very high praise coming from my son! He was thrilled by all of the art supplies available to him. He was also quite happy about the PIZZA. All of the arts are dear to me, but visual art has a special place in my heart since my mother was an art teacher. I have never been able to recreate the space my mother provided for me. We always had art supplies at home since she had a studio there, and I loved using the potter's wheel and enameling supplies. Unfortunately, my son has never had that sort of experience at home, but now he can have it at school! At Art Club. My heartfelt thanks goes out to the Friends of Quaker Valley Schools for providing the funding for this fabulous program.
