I found out about The Foundation for Photo Art in Hospitals, Inc. during my research when I was seeking children's hospitals to donate some of my nature art to. I e-mailed the Foundation, and right away, Ms. Elaine Poggi responded, thanking me for my interest in their work, and included the guidelines for their Contributing Photographers Program. She also asked me to send her a few photos from my gallery. I did, and that is how my extremely pleasant relationship with her and the Foundation began.
As a result, I am now a happy and proud contributor to the photographers program! Ms. Poggi has made my experience so pleasant, enjoyable, and exciting! She chose one of my favorite pictures from my collection, my "Regal Red Camellia," for inclusion in the program and has already displayed it on her Foundation's beautiful Web site. This camellia also appears in my You Tube video which I have attached here on my first video art exhibition.
I meet many people for the first time whom I seem to have a really great and special connection with, and Ms. Poggi is definitely one of them! Her personality is extremely down-to-earth in a very kind, caring, and warm way. I am truly, truly thankful that she has allowed me this awesome honor and privilege to be a part of her extraordinary Foundation, and I look forward to working more closely with her!
When my uncle passed away, I wanted to honor his memory somehow. He had lots of beautiful photos from his travels, and I was looking for a way to do something positive with them. I came across Photo Art in Hospitals Inc. and thought this would be the perfect opportunity to share his work. Elaine graciously accepted a photo he took from a trip he took to Alaska. That trip was significant for him because it is what he had focused on while in the hospital, promising himself that when he recovered, he would take the journey- and he did.
Now, I'm glad the photo can be shared as an image of peace and optimism. I'm glad to hear it resides in over 20 hospitals and clinics, across the US. That's amazing- I appreciate the opportunity and Elaine's commitment to this work.
I have told my photographer friends about this foundation which is doing so much for the communities that they exhibit in. I would recommend this site to anyone who is looking to give back.

The Mission of Foundation for Photo Art in Hospitals is simple. They provide printed works of beautiful art to hospitals worldwide. I was very pleased how quickly the selection process went and I received lots of suggestions from them on ways I can assist this non profit to reach even more hospitals! I encourage artists to become contributers to this great program.
Elaine is a jewel! So encouraging and helpful in the process.. You can feel her heart and warmth and compassion.
I am proud and honored to be a contributing photographer to this amazing organization which is working to provide an atmosphere of comfort and healing to patients and their families when they need it the most. Founder and President, Elainne Poggi, is incredibly passionate about the benefits of art in hospitals and my experience with the foundation was excellent. I hope that my photograph is able to relive someone's stress and anxiety and play a small part in the healing process.
It is an honor to be a contributing photographer to Foundation for Photo Art in Hospitals. Patients and their family often feel nervous, vulnerable, and uncomfortable in hospitals. The sterile environment is cold and uninviting. Nature art allows the patient to escape momentarily, and brings a sense of calm and comfort. As a patient and a family member of a patient, I can attest that beautiful nature art is a much appreciated feature in a hospital. It brings me much personal satisfaction to contribute this wonderful cause. My hope is that one day my art will bring a sense of comfort to someone in a hospital. The concept of this Foundation is novel, and important to hospital patients worldwide.
Elaine the president and curator of the Foundation is fabulous. She was quick to respond to my emails, and she works tirelessly to support the Foundation. My entire experience with this organization was positive, and I would recommend working with the Foundation to both photographers and hospitals.
